If you are a plane enthusiast or even not, just go up to the roof lounge (where it also says smoking) and there is a nice cafe bar up there and it's all open air seats and table. Nice to enjoy the last of the sun and yeah watch the planes. The steps up to the roof terrace are near to the duty free, just as you come into the departure lounge go past O'Learey's on your left then keep your eyes open for the sign directing you upstairs on your left. Don't confuse this with the VIP lounge you have to pay to use that but the other rooftop lounge is free to use and the beers are quite cheap too. 😉

Have you tried ibuprofen gel on the sole of your foot as a temporary measure? The 5% version is cheap in Home Bargains. The 10% version is only available from pharmacies. It is a bit sticky. It is a tube in a red box.

I came back from Gran Canaria last week, and my Planta Fasciitis is playing up big time. I wasn't impressed with the airport. assumed easyjet had a dedicated bag drop-off similar to Gatwick. They didn't, so I had to queue for ages once we finally found the check-in . Carry on only from now on

was looking at gran canaria tickets as well. flighs were pretty decent prices, but the hotel prices were extremely expensive. So booked a flight to Alicante just now. Any ideas for great places on the costa blanca?

Not sure if its of any benefit but i have suffered with plantar. Few things which may help. Plantar socks provide support. Roll your foot on frozen waterbottle and finally its not always your foot thats the cause of the issue. Sports phsyio showed mine to be up through my legs and up into my hips. Massage in other places can help plantar issues in feet. I know how paintful it is so hope it improves soon!

I think it’s the worse airport, the shops are rubbish and very expensive, years ago you had sports shops , super dry etc now it’s just the same overpriced sweets and local produce shops
