I actually had a lot of fun with this race, mt panorama is my favorite course so it was definitely interesting to race trucks there

This reminds me of driving my hilux on Bathurst irl Edit: As for section names, from start to finish is Pit straight, hell corner, mountain straight, Griffens bend, the cutting (pair of left handers), quarry corner, Reid Park, Sulman Park, McPhillamy Park (all named after the parks on each corner), Skyline (AKA Brock's Skyline, nicknamed after Aussie Motorist Peter Brock who won multiple championships and endurance races on Bathurst, most recognisedrace being in the Holden Torana with a 6 lap lead setting the fastest lap on the last lap while overtaking back markers), the Esses and Dipper, Forrest's elbow, Conrad straight, the chase, Murray's corner back onto pit straight.

I like it how with the usual GR.3, the slightest tap gets you a penalty But with these trucks, the most egregious passes with massive contact is considered A-OK

Glad you asked...Yes! The sharp turn before the 'Conrod Straight' (due to cars over revving @ throwing rods in the 60's n 70's long before The Chase was added) or "back straight" in your reference, is called 'Forrest Elbow'. This is due to a motorcycle racer by the name of Jack Forrest 'low-siding' his bike and literally grinding off almost an inch from the pointy bit of his left elbow, it was just squared right off. Never stopped him racing, though. As a teenager, I knew him in the days he was retired and riding with the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Australia. Ans yes, he was still damn quick. We used to do 'parade laps' with the vintage (1920-1929) and post vintage (1930-1939) bikes on Easter Sunday during the Australian Grand's Prix that were held there circa early 80's. I remember ('83?) he was clocked through the speed trap at the end of Conrod Straight on a well tuned 1930's Brough Superior that he owned @118MPH! Because it wasn't a race,.. unless there was more than one motorcycle on the track at any time! Also, Happy 600k!

You wanted an Aussie to confirm corner names for you. You are correct, the corner onto the back straight is Forrest's Elbow, named for a motorbike rider (Jack Forrest) who crashed hard on it and severley damaged his elbow. The straight is actually called Conrod Straight, named after the many engines that have died on that straight. A couple others you might want to know. First corner is Hell Corner, named for a tree stump that used to be there and when motorbikes used to race the circuit. Basically, if you dropped the bike, the stump would send you to Hell. The other important corner is turn 4, known as The Cutting. Named for the fact it was cut into the mountain. A nice steep left hander. The game doesn't really had trouble showing what the elevation change is like compared to driving it in real life.

Your mid table finishes feel so real like an adventure story...its where all the action is, and wherever you are.

These races are so relaxing to watch, even the heated ones, Steve's commentating is beautifully paired with the content. Love these vids.

Starting at Main Straight, the first left is Hell Corner, up Mountain Straight to the right-hander Griffin's Bend, climbing sharply, left through The Cutting, right through Quarry, reaching the top of the mountain through The Parks, enjoying the view along Skyline before going back down through The Esses and The Dipper, braking hard for the left at Forrest's Elbow (mind the bump), trying to get on the gas early for the drag down Conrod Straight, navigating The Chase before the final left at Murray's Corner back onto Main Straight.

You are correct. The final tight left-hander coming down the hill is Forrest's Elbow. According to wikipedia, it was named so after motorcycle racer, Jack Forrest, crashed there in 1947, and ground off the end of his elbow. People started calling it "the Elbow" or "the Devil's Elbow", and then other riders started calling it "Forrest's Elbow". That's a pretty good bit of racing lore, if you ask me.

I've tried Ford F-150 Raptor Funhavers at Long Beach Street Circuit in Project Cars band it was fun as well! Sometimes the slower cars bring you the best racing you've ever had.

We've been doing Ute (Pick Up) racing in our league for over a year now. At Laguna Seca on CS or SH is sooo much fun (N500, the Fords come too)

The very first time I drove around a proper race track it was at a race school in Oklahoma. The instructor took us out to show us the racing line in a crew-cab diesel pick-up truck and it totally blew my mind how fast that thing could go and how well it could handle in the right hands.

I stopped online GT about 3 years ago this race these trucks on this course has been amazing spent every night last week racing again love it
