There are 4 common races in Granblue Fantasy: 1. Human: normal human such as Djeeta/Gran, Zeta, Percival, Vayne, Lancelot, etc 2. Erune: they have animal ears, typically fox like. Some of noble lineage might even have tails but its very uncommon. They also always wear open back clothing (both male and female) and this can be seen even in school settings where the uniform for Erune is modified to give them open back-side. One of the Erune characters is Ferry 3. Draph: this race has bovine-like characteristics, the male is muscular and very tall (about 190cm to 2meters+) while the female is well-endowed and much shorter than human (about 130-150cm). Both have big horns on their head and pointy ears. Example: Vaseraga and Narmaya 4. Harvin: they are similar to Halflings, even adult Harvins have very short stature and are commonly mistaken as children. They also have pointy ears similar to draphs. Due to the nature of their physic, those of Harvin race faced many discrimination. While many great Harvins leverage their small stature to become engineer or merchant, some tries to break the mold to set an example for the younger Harvins, such as Charlotta who is currently the captain of Holy Order of Knights despite all odds.

Narmaya is my main. She is one of the major fan favorites in the series.

Just to point out, the old gunner's name isn't Eugene but Eugen (pronounced in a pseudo German way where "Eu" is somewhere between Eye and Oi and "Gen" is like generation but with a hard G)

Lancelot, rosetta, ferry, io, vane, zeta, ghandagoza, charlotta and yodarha all seem very appealing. Zeta seems right up my alley as an insect glaive main in iceborne

Narmaya is from the get go will be my main. I have this weird thing about loving characters that wield and hold their sword in a cool way like her in a quick Draw stance. Guess it's also why Virgil is my favorite from Devil May Cry.

just a gbf/prononciation police here trying to comment on the character's names you pronounce. Eugene is incorrect, Eugen is; and it's pronounced as Oigen not Yujin. Io is pronounced as eeh-oh. Vaseraga is Vuh-say-ruh-guh (the more i type english sounds the more i question myself) also i base this on their katakana reading and i play gbf the main game so i kinda familiar with how they say the names in japanese moving on to gameplay/content, Zeta having a shield isn't her being a tank but her being super aggresive, she has that shield as a way to ramp up offensive like shown in the video such as instant evasion to the air and chained with AoE stun (i don't think she has any kind of shield in any GBF games but maybe she has in one of her variations which i don't have). Charlotta and Yodarha are a race called Harvin in Granblue universe. they only look small; they aren't underaged at all lmao. Roland, he's not an exclusive Granblue Fantasy char, he's currently Relink exclusive. perhaps he's gonna pop out on the main game to celebrate relink's launch nice video btw, subscribed

I'm really interested in Rosetta. Her unique playstyle looks very appealing to me, especially since I tend to play support in co-op games, MMOs and MOBAs. Ghandagoza looks really fun too, and I love this "Heavy Monk" archetype of being an unarmed fighter who hits slow and hard. Yodarha looks incredibly fun too, and I love his character design.

14:29 I actually really like his design and will probably play as him. He's got this charming, dashing "rogue" vibe to him while still being a cute little... not sure what his race/species is. I almost certainly want to main Ferry. I love that she is a ghost/spirit, uses ghosts/spirits, is a mid-range fighter, is supportive, is an animal/monster person, has blue hair, and orange (apparently at times) eyes. It feels like she'd feel very "right" for me to play as. Thanks for the informative video!

I think you should use terms like mechanics (how things and rules work) over gimmicks (trick or method to attract attention) specially when the context exists for gameplay. Each character has a mechanic. These ain’t shallow gimmicks at all.

I hope they add Lennah or some dedicated healing support/ sub DPS Characters other than the ones present. It’d be sick if Gran/Djeeta get to change classes like in the gacha game. Also I’m hoping for more mages. Playing as sword guy/woman is fun and all but I hope there’s gonna be more magic units.

Just found out about this an hour ago. Completely new to the franchise. Will play the demo in the morning and then make a purchase decision. I have to say I like what I'm seeing so far.

I'm Hoping they add the guy with the book shown in the previous trailer as a playable character. Would be cool seeing a scholar act as another mid/long range caster

It sucks that Platinum dropped off as devs but damn does this look good. It’s the form of Genshin I want. Couldn’t even get to AR30. The grind is horrendous. Especially since I played HSR first. I bounced off of Hoyoverse super hard 2 months of addiction and $1500 later. This game makes me excited that I’m not gonna expose myself to gacha spending and I can just enjoy in my own time and there’s not gonna any need for dailies and weekly bs

I haven't played the demo yet for this game, but hot damn I really wanna try this game out cause it looks like a lot of fun, with anime games anymore i usually skim past them, but this game is winning me over

I like Katalina and Zeta, I'm a sucker for knight girls. Ferry looks cool too though.

If I understood their showcases correctly, each character have two "paths" of specialization and it seems like, at the endgame level, you may be able to get the last trait in one side and then get some from the other one (or just focus in one side if you want). I think the "pure dps" characters will focus on two different "game plans" based on these two paths, while all the other characters will have one DPS-focused path and one "support" path. And by support I mean doing stuff with your party in mind,. not exclusively buffing and healing, but also tanking and debuffing (if debuff exists in this game), as well as crowd controlling (which seems a bit of Roseta's thing). I hope they also make rare weapons have extra game effects to complement builds and not just be about numbers.

I'm absolutely all about Lancelot and Ferry. They were favorites in the mobile game for me and it'll be the same here heh

You hit the mark with Rosetta. Her roses definitely provide healing and buffing when you’re in range of them as shown in other gameplay videos. The main tank character I think is going to be Vane. He literally has a skill to attract the enemy attention and has a big shield skill to protect allies.

I wanted a playable Zooey but I will settle for Djeeta Lance and Zeta. Also zetas a dps.

The two small characters seem like dragoon type characters that are designed and have a huge disengage for safety and increased disengage if used well.

Oh mai gawwwd! I can't decide who to choose. I love me a berserker, so Vaseraga might be my main, but Lancelot uses ice powers in his combos...I'm so torn. Also, Roland might be a choice. He looks like a hybrid melee/spell caster. He has a tome on his belt. Me-thinks an arcane fencer?

Narmaya, Vaseraga, Zeta and Gandhagoza will definitely be my favorites.

Ferry is my star char on og game but considering this is granblue you probably need to be versatile sometimes on co-op like going for healer, debuffer or tanker to provide utility/support for 4 man raids if someone need these role.

Definitely maining Rosetta, Io or Ferry. I enjoy being able to stay out of direct combat but still have a hold on the battlefield. Maybe one of the gun characters but neither look that interesting tbh

Haven't heard of this game (or the other games of the franchise) before but now I'm curious.

Catalina, Vain, Zeta, Charlotta and Yodarha 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 I wish there was a spear and shield character.. (something like Pantheon but obviously more fleshed out and with nuances) I just love the glaive/spear/halberd aesthetic but most games I always default to something tanky with a shield for any game I play. That's why IDEALLY I wish more games had spear and shield classes. Hmm.. It would be cool if there was a choice in what weapon the main character uses but oh well, it's my first time looking at a GranBlue game, but I have seen the other games peripherally. Great video, you earned a new sub, I think I might cop this game when it releases in the future. I've bumped it up to my top game on my steam wishlist, but I digress. zeta if you watch after the first hit against her when shes in the air she gets attacked and im assuming thats timing on why she jumped way back

In any rpg, my playstyle is evade and attack fast, so I'm inclined more to play characters that fit that playstyle. So that means, Naraya, Charlotta, and Yod Dara. But I have two more playstyles that I like if none of the mentioned before is available, they're the small person carrying a big ass sword and swing it with power and carry it around like it's nothing. And the fast caster type, no staffs. Zeta seems fine too if tank is needed.

I mean maybe Zeta is supposed to be a bruiser. Offensive Tank. We don't know her abilities either. We don't know what tanking will entail in this game it seems. Same with support. Like how necessary it is and everything.

I know little to nothing about Granblue, but I *love* action RPGs and from this I can already see my personal dream team. Zeta for tanking, Rosetta or Ferry for support, Narmaya for dps. 4th slot could be anyone depending on what is needed to fill that role (Gran/Djeeta would be the default since they seem to be a jack of all trades type character). Actually - may go with one of the gunners or Io. Never a bad idea to have a ranged option. Real curious how actually obtaining these characters will work. Supposedly they're all unlockable ingame which I'm really happy to hear but in this day and age I'm kinda skeptical about anything, especially a game derived from a gacha game. My optimism is very high for this one, I'm just wary as well. 13:07 I come from FFXIV. We call them potatoes. Personally don't mind the archetype myself and I'll happily play a potato if their gameplay is fun, but I'll admit I'm also not the biggest fan of that type of appearance either.

As long as Vaseragas Charge attack is either Aftermath or 1 of his 3 other moon attacks, I am happy. If it's savage rampage, at least it better look cool

Thats not a Halberd thats a Naginata. Halberds are long pole axes with a spear tip so u can do both swings and thrusts. Naginata are like spears but the tip is a long curved blade meant for swiping and swings using the weight and momentum of the spins to increase the force of the attack. They are mor akin to Glaives

What kind of game is this exactly? Is it like an action rpg similar to FF7 remake or more similar stuff like dynasty warriors? Also how does the party function work? You have all of your party out (how many max) and do you control your party or are they AI?
