Looks like a lot of “short” queens!! 🤩🤩🥰🥰 we need more acceptance for “shorter” dancers! I love this so much, especially being a 5’1 ballet dancer myself!!

i’m not sure of my height in feet, but in centimetres i’m 153! i wish that shorter dancers were as celebrated as taller ones, it’s so annoying!!

The shorter ones tend to be overflexed acro students tho. lol Their pelvic bones aren't stable enough for classical ballet unless they stop acro in time. They don't make the college cuts as a result. It is too bad because not all of them are acro artists. Some truly are lovely dancers.

you know in all seriousness, the girl whose technique caught my eye was the 'largest' dancer. Skinny isn't always better

I don't get why people think being skinny is always good in ballet. The "chubby" girls in this video have really good technique compared to the skinnier ones ://

Some "skinnier" built people or people with smaller body types have it "easier". With a more feminine bodytype ballet is said to be harder. In my case it was

@@bobloblaw9679 arguably yes, but i think that is precisely why the naturally "chubbier" girls are better than the naturally skinny girls a lot of times, it's because the chubbier girls have to work far harder to achieve what the skinner girls can achieve with hardly any effort. thicker dancers spend countless hours of working on technique to do what the naturals do easily, and it shows because they would display consistency and attention to detail, rather than some dancers (not all, obviously this is a generalized statement) who do mediocre on every other step, but oh! look how pretty that was! she's clearly a natural dancer.

Some people have a natural bigger bone structure than others. There are not “chubby” or “big” or “fat” they just have a different body and bone structure. The fact that people think that all ballerinas need to look “skinny” or like a toothpick is terrible. All natural body types are beautiful.

@@noralikesroblox9418 You're missing one important detail - it's not just about aesthetics - ballet is primarily a duet dance. Men in ballet often have to lift a ballerina high on their hands, if the ballerina's weight exceeds 50 kg, her partner can damage the spine.
