Euphoria is way better than these netflix teen shows honestly. HBO has a reputation of making QUALITY shows even teen ones. However much i love netflix teen shows they are wayy off🤦

Brt Creep I mean they only have like 2. Sex education, stranger things, and teenage bounty hunters are good quality shows. I’ve seen the first episode of “Grand Army” and it’s really good. Some acting is a bit cringe but overall the production and the writing is on Euphoria level.

Brt Creep I did an internship with Netflix in the summer. And It’s definitely a drama. They introduce many controversial topics and in the first episode at least there isn’t much character development(obviously). But I like the writing and the cinematography and it’s definitely got good production value.

Society was only an okay show. I was more upset at Netflix for cancelling Daybreak. KZfaq red's best show ever is Wayne and they cancelled it, and Netflix could have gotten it and give it another season but instead got youtube red's other show Cobra Kai which is a good show but Wayne is a way much better show then Cobra Kai. I'm going to guess you never saw an episode of the show Wayne am I right? I also think people who make the show Society sound way better then it actually is probably never saw the 1989 horror movie Society, a really good and really underrated movie.

missourigreen051 daybreak was good it was more of a less serious show which was nice but the society has more layers and it’s more serious which is what I like

@@luvnor I was really bored by Netflix Society show, even though I still watched every episode of season 1. After when I finished season 1 I told myself if a season 2 comes out I probably won't watch it. I'm a gay male but the gay deaf character in Society pisses me off, if someone like him exist in real life he would probably be a gay republican. I can see him spitting on a homeless gay teenager and say "that's what you get for disrespecting your parents." Daybreak has a much better gay male character then Society.

When I see Netflix and KZfaq in the same sentence I get mad knowing Netflix could have picked up Wayne but chose not to. Netflix instead took Cobra Kai, which is a good show, but Wayne is a way much better show.

@Commander Cody hey! The writer of this show based the show off of life experiences her acting students have had (a few of the cast in this show performed in her play that this show was based off of). So the plotlines in this show will certainly be more relatable than most.

It definitely needs a new show runner because the characters stories aren’t as nuanced and it’s very predictable at times (plus the bombing plot device was very bad and unnecessary) but the characters are the most relatable I’ve seen

@@Cyancat123 WW2 isn't happening now. It was literally 70 years ago. I assure you, people in the Middle East would love some narratives that aren't about terrorists. Furthermore, we've seen the white men in those movies in a thousand different lenses, not just dying soldier on Omaha. Also, soldier is an occupation. Movies about them do not reduce men of war to their hardships. Tragedy porn like this is actually quite dehumanizing. Instead of depicting hardships as a part of these people's lives, they are depicting it as the sum of their lives, a narrative we have seen again and again and again. And when the POC writers tried to change the story and show a different side of POCs, they faced such resistance that they were actually forced to quit. This show also reinforces negative stereotypes, which has an extremely negative effect on the very teenagers who are depicted, because if that is all they ever see themselves as (victims or criminals) then their self esteem suffers. Finally, shows like this are self fulfilling. Because if this is all studios will greenlight, this is all any POC writers will be allowed to make. Also, on a more casual note, the writing looks kinda boring and obvious. It's not all that intriguing and is the kind of show you only watch because nothing better is on.
