I don't see why everyone is hating on him. He built this rig for wheeling. So what he got a little body damage, that is what happens when you do this kind of stuff.

Anyone who's hating the fact he dented up this clean rig has NO idea what the sport is about. It's like a knee injury in football. It sucks? yes. but if you push the limits and work hard it's almost bound to happen. Shit heals. Just like this WJ. He's running a 1-ton running gear and looks to be 39" Iroks. He knows he's gonna dent and break shit. His rig will heal with the help from a Miller Mig welder. Buncha babies thinking that's a waste. Sick rig man and good effort.

alright i gotta know what did you do to the front bumper area? and what radiator do you have in there? biggest pain in my ass is my lowest point in the front is my crushed radiator mount and my radiator. its sad looking at it and knowing anything i drive towards could go through my radiator and leave me stranded.

Jeep Enthusiast mindset Jeep -$1000 beater Bumpers with towpoints $300 (weld it up) 3-4.5 inch lift ($500-750) A jeep only has one rear axle. But it also has a front. 250 each diff for re-gear. 300 each diff for lunchbox lockers. 500 for chromos, 200 for sleeves, 100 to truss 35 inch tires-225 a piece for km2's or goodyear mt/r kevlars. End result, a jeep that will bring you to most places you want. Some jeeps come with wranglers but my unibody will go many places your frame will

A bud was going to junk his Jeep so I got it for cheap. He already did lift, tires, tow points, and stronger rear axle. I put 33" tires on my truck and done. Already comes with everything else. The TTB allows both my front tires to maintain very close to a complete contact patch when flexing. I already cant tackle things with the solid axle that I can with the TTB and open differential. And if I had to do all that to my truck to get it anything ready for offroad id question why I bought it?

Wider axles and a locker and you could make that no problem. the only issue is your driver tire is slippin cuz you dont have enough width
@Penisbaby10111 жыл бұрын
point taken, and no I am not out west to go to those areas. I wheel mainly slick rock and root where you need contact of all tires. Lots of times my rear axle is my weak point because when I get pinned up and it flexes being solid I loose one wheel worth of traction and rely on my front two tires to keep pulling. I have a 00 Cherokee and cant tackle stuff that my trucks can with TTB. Sraight axle is more reliable but U-joints are the only weak point of the TTB. They can be upgraded.
@TonyTheTruckGuy11 жыл бұрын
Not sure why everyone is knocking the WJ....it's a Jeep. It has solid axles and a boss 4x4 system, and looks better than any wrangler i've seen. Oh yeah and it can tow stuff too, where's the V8 in your wrangler? Oh you had to put it in yourself? Weird.

You wont have to murder your fenders on the Ranger. I have three Rangers I use for the woods. I use positive offset Lincoln wheels and run 34" x 10.5" tires. The tires sit inside the wheel wells and have 12" of travel. The largest tire I fit was a 38" x 9" tractor tire and still had 8" of travel inside the wheel well. I offroad with many guys and the mojority have Jeeps. They dump a ton of money into them and at the end of the day they go no farther than my stock Rangers with big tires.

As I said I travel with a group of guys with mainly Jeeps (2 Wranglers, 3 Cherokees, 2 Grand Cherokees, and 2 Rangers) and we all go through the same stuff, only they had to spend a lot more money to get the same result as a light truck that only needed bigger tires... The only good thing about the Jeeps is they get better 2wd traction because of the weight, but we dont offroad in 2wd now do we...

That'll buff out, besides, cosmetic damage doesn't count ;-) try holding the brake and throttling up enough to move forward then just run the brake. Makes for smoother takeoff after halfway up obstacles. looks like the wheel spin messed everything up.

While TTB does mitigate many of the downsides of IFS, it is still a less robust platform than a straight axle. I'd say, "it's all a matter of opinion", but that would be shortsighted seeing as Moab and the Rubicon, both of which I have been to (have you?), are virtually devoid of TTB. There is probably 1 TTB equipped vehicle for every 10 solid axle vehicles present (whether leaf sprung or linked). TTB may be good for baja racing, but was this not a ROCK CRAWLING video???

Jeep Enthusiast mindset Jeep $30,000.00 Bumpers/tow points $600.00 3inch or taller lift $1,500.00 Rear axles and differential that can actually handle 30 inch plus tires. $300.00-$800.00 30 inch plus tires $1,000.00 Or Just buy a light truck $25,000.00 equipped with plenty of clearence, multiple tow points, and actual frame, and then slap some taller tires $1000,00 and maybe swap the limited slip for a locker $800.00. End result, Lets waste a ton of money and roll the Jeep.

offer no advantage? How about a solid front axle instead of a TTB or IFS front end depending on what year ranger, a linked suspension front and rear with the grand cherokees and tj's vs the leafs on the rear of the ranger. Very reliable 4.0 inline 6 in tj's/grand cherokees or the 4.7, 5.2, and 5.9 v8's in the grand cherokee...tons of aftermarket support for jeeps to. I'm not hating on rangers of beaters, just saying jeep can have advantages.
