Audiomaster pro is an AU3 mastering app but I prefer Grand Finale 2 as it has the right mix of preset and individual effect control - Audiomaster pro is mostly preset (just 6 band eq available, as a separate option to all the presets. I like to start with a preset then make some individual adjustments.

Thanks for the kind words. I just love to talk about it all. During my 25 years working for a music production school, my career evolution pulled me away from teaching and more into a manager position. I still need that teaching/ sharing of knowledge experience. KZfaq and my 1 on 1 consultations offers me that.

A quick question. If you set the Width control to 0 % counter clockwise, is everything mono, or just normal un-affected stereo?

At 0% it has no effect, so the original width is untouched.

How does it compare to Positive Grid Final Touch on the iPad? I’ve use that with pretty good success. I was comparing the two and I chose positive Greg because it looks like it had a better interface better workflow. I’am wondering now how Final Touch would compare to new version of this one?

I loved Final Touch but a couple of years ago it stopped working correctly. I contacted Positive Grid and they said they would no longer be supporting it. I checked recently and I don’t see it in the App Store any more. I’ve used both versions of Grand Finale with good results. FWIW 😎👍🏼

Positive Grid f HD as announced this week they are stopping developing Final Touch and it will Disappear from the AppStore. So if you have it don’t delete it. But don’t expect it to work with the new iOS.

Yes, it works with any Audio Unit plugin compatible app.

How do you like making music on IOS? I am contemplating getting a newer Ipad Pro for some inspiration. It is too bad Apple or Abelton hasn't explored more into IOS. With these newer M1/M2 models, the potential is there. I must say though Beatmaker 3 is nice.

I found myself creating more often on iPad since my iPad Pro in 2015. I originally created a lot with Korg Gadget but have since move to ZenBeats because of the AUv3 capabilities of it (and the lack of it in Gadget). I now use my iPad pro M1 as a DAW with some synths and fx . I then trigger my hardware devices and record them into ZenBeats. Then, I move on to mixing and mastering. I’m thinking of doing a short series on that whole process.

I’m not sure there needs to be so meany compressors on a mastering tool just my opinion

Keep it mind that for mastering you can use them very lightly. It can also be use as channel strip.

You do speak the truth here but I think meany people who don’t understand what mastering is will end up with something that’s loud but not dynamic,some great useful stuff like the Lufs meter onboard for these days of digital distribution,I prefer Lurssen myself on iPad and checking Lufs in the 4 pockets app then loudness penalty maybe a iPad mastering tutorial with this app people would find useful?

I’m in the process to finish a couple of song. And I’ll master them using Grand Finale 2.
