The Chess.com Classic is the second of four tournaments preceding the Champions Chess Tour live Finals. Carlsen and Firouzja both earned spots in Division I based on their performance in the Chessable Masters, and they've fought through the competition to face each other in the Grand Finals!
The 2024 Champions Chess Tour (CCT) is Chess.com's most important event series of the year with the overall winner being crowned Tour Champion, the highest annual honor conferred by the world's largest chess platform.

Tbh today's commentary was really engaging. The production could probably lower tania's volume by a bit. The chess was interesting af and the commentary did a great job helping us (i can only talk about myself, but as a 1600 rapid player, i think i can speak up for all 1200s - 1800s) catch up with it

Sad to see plebs complaining about Tania. Yes she is dramatic but thats ok, maybe even the reason that is drawing more people in, it may be over expressive at times but it is extrememly tough to provide intelligent commentry and predictions and make it dramatic as well. Non of these plebs complaining could do 2 minutes worth of entertaining commentary

Magnus may be the GOAT but this commentary was atrociously biased, flashbacks of the last time this happened and Alireza was justifiably upset by the poor quality of the Chesscom's commentary.

You mean they realize alireza is a bum who randomly has good series with magnus? Get over yourself the same with alireza lol. The commentating isn't great imo but it's not that bias at all. Magnus is still currently leagues above alireza no matter what you believe. A bad day for magnus is barely losing to alireza while alireza amazing day is barely beating magnus says all anyone needs to know.

@@sabotagefate69 You fail to understand how professional commentary is done. They praised Magnus 90% of the time and were rooting for him when Alireza played a good move. Everyone has biases, but your job is to hype both players up and bring up positives about them. They did that sporadically at best.
