Grand Hotel is very nice, and a great location if you want to be right IN Walking Street, easy to go back to your room. It is very noisy at night of course. Wear ear plugs if you sleep at midnight. Maybe ask for the room that faces North instead of the Walking Street side? ? It is nice to see the Pattaya sign on the hill and watch the sun set. I wish it had a pool. There are photos in a brochure that show an aboveground pool on the roof in times past, but gone now.

Carpeted floors in hallway and more importantly the room is a huge huge feature for me that counts for 90% of my decision of taking the room.... no lady’s shoes noises from above or other heavy walking noises.. also no noises from people sliding chairs and tables across the frickin room...people trash talk Nana Hotel on Soi 4 in Bangkok but they don’t think about the carpeted floors saving them from being woken up at 7 in the morning from someone sliding a chair clear across the room. So when I see that carpeted hallway off the elevator and room I’m 90% sure I’m taking the room . A big window usually seals the deal .

Pattaya random, very good video. So the best rooms are at the top floor?. (highest leven)

I stayed here December 2018 and my room had a bare cement floor, the hallway smelled like piss, there were dead bugs in the light fixtures in the bathroom, the elevator looked like someone took a hatchet to it's walls and ceiling... and the kicker was waking up with bites on my arm. It appears the poster got a renovated room or something as this wasn't my experience there. Good location on Soi 14 a 1 minute walk from Walking Street, half decent free buffet breakfast, but dark and dingy inside. A stayed next trip at the W14 (next door, same owner) which is much better and CLEANER. I learned not to skimp when I go on holiday, I spend more money and get a nicer hotel.

Hotel at end of life, close to death, too funny old television, 50 dollars is too much, so bad place, 50 is not even the girls' rate for the night but some people like pay ;)
