@@pacmantravel2158Lol “HomeGoods”. How white can you get? It’s definitely a “dollar store” but with items starting at $1.75. Anything without extra labels is all $1.75 across the board, and increases by a dollar each hundred of yen it goes up.

I have one of these stores near where I work. They sell snacks and cheaply-made items for cheap prices. Bought a pair of work gloves from there once. They barely lasted a few months, but again, they were cheap so I expected that.

@@vetiverose128 mostly designed in Japan and has to meet their standards. They also have products from other countries such as the Philippines like those wooden kitchen tools. And yes they do carry some made in Japan as well.

I'm Japanese. Kitchen tools and cleaning tools are especially useful. There are also Sanrio character goods. Have a wonderful DAISO life.

Here in Metro Manila Philippines almost all malls have Daiso, if not, they have Saizen or Japan Homes stores. The only problem for me regarding these stores even if they are Japanese brand stores is more than half of their items with the exception of food products are labeled made in China. Products I usually bought made in Japan in these stores are plastic containers, office supplies and some kitchen wares, you just need to read the Made in labels when buying.

We've had two on Oahu for years and and always has a nice crowd no matter what time of the day. I thought it was a fad, but they have new products every week and sometimes everyday so I keep going back.

I actually bought my mini digital alarm clock at Daiso for 4 or 5 dollars. And it’s the best alarm clock I have ever used. It’s cheap, durable, simple, and easy to use. Better than the ones sold on Amazon for 2x or 3x the price.

It’s because the items may be cheap but they’re way smarter and more functional than items designed for an actual Dollar Tree or 99c Only Store. There’s kitchen and home tools/storage/etc. that serve a specific function that you can’t get at western dollar stores.
