hi. what i would do is to bring the goats/ sheep and let them walk around on a dog collar at the old camping grounds until a enclosure is built becasue it has alot off grass and other stuff and no trees and stuff for them to be caught on. and meanwhile they are there then i would put fence on "alive" trees becasue then you do not need to find some specific tree or cut it down or anythingn like that and becasue it is growing and stuff then it have a decent root system that make it sturdy enough to handle being apart off a enclosure and becasue it is alive and growing it wont root. basically i would look for the strongest trees that makes a enclosure then wrap the fence around them and that would be my goat/ sheep enclosure until i have a more permanent enclosure. and i would put the solar batteries and stuff beside the kickit building in a own little house becasue then you dont need to think about rats and mice and stuff going for the food and get into the wires. but thats just me :) hope you have a great day :)

Seems if the goats respond to an electrical fence, What about shock collars? There are wireless systems that work on radius up to 20 acres. Use a plastic storage shed and put solar panels on the roof and inverter with backup battery. Those sheds breakdown and rebuild quickly giving you lockable storage. Also airtags for the animals and then you can track them down

When I built (alone and I was 50 year old ) my 30x10' deck that is 10' in the air, I used a pully atop a 2x4 to help get a board lifted then wraped the rope around a rope dock cleat. Worked amazing and allowed me to easily lift heavy 2x12's by myself safely.

I’ve had goats for years.. I would just tether your goats next to the outside perimeter of your veggie garden and they would clean up that area very quickly. Just keep moving them together. At night you can just tether them in the horse float with some hay. Don’t overthink it.

I saw someone do a clever goat tether before. Slip a plastic pipe over the rope closest to the goat so they can't get tangled up in it. Regarding the fencing, I don't have any suggestions, but I would just avoid Premier-1 fencing...I've seen so many channels over the years have their animals get tangled and die in it.

Yes, but don’t use iron nails as they are irritant to the tree. Use boat builders boat screws, the plastic ones that are used to pin the planking while the resin sets. Are they both female kids? Can’t remember. On the electric fences, you know that coco’s kid escapes quite frequently. Think the goat clearing through a bit, you could divide sections off to rotate the goats. You can leave the wires as semi permanent and have movable live wire clips to electrify different paddocks. But as I noted on the live with C’mon, you can have electrified wires up to 4’ high, run the ground wires about 4” away from the live as I found that the clever goats try to poke through there is a higher chance of a decent zap. I never had predators as I am in Australia, wild dogs that people dumped were the problem for others but my gaggle of geese were great protectors and the alarm. As one goat had very oily fur it was insulated from the fence. Animal lovers will not like this but I ran 2 strands of live barbed wire which worked. I was more concerned about that goat getting on the road and causing an accident. Good luck with them and enjoy their funny personalities.

On the lifting of heaviest, look at makeshift crane, jib, hoist using block and tackles, and some snatch blocks with using the sisalation not polypropylene ropes. I have old sisalation rope blocks and tackles, the 2+3 set is easiest and best to use. It’s just another way of working just think it through by working smarter.

goats don't eat as much grass as people may think. They like more weeds and such, low branch leaves are good to them too. Keep them together until you find other goats to mate them with or until you need to separate them to prevent them inbreeding.

Goats are social animals. If there is only one goat, they will cry out more because they want companionship. You may also want to use one of your dogs as a guard dog for your goat, also. That may be a good companion for the goat, too. I don't know if I would put them on a lead without a guard dog because of the many predators you have in your area. Best of luck .

Hog wire or welded wire doesn’t work. The goats stretch out the hog wire holes and walk through the fence. They break the welds and walk through the fence. The best fence no climb horse fence. Electric fence is portable and easy to install, but goats will test the fence by getting close to the fence until they feel the current. If the electric fence is not working, they will get out. The goats do not like being by themselves, but they are fertile and breed at 5 months old and the girls should be at least 1 year old. I started raising Alpine Dairy goats in December 1993. Alpine goats ca clear over 4 feet fence, another reason not to go with hog wire. I fence with 5 foot high no climb horse fence. It’s expensive but worth it.
