That Irish side was one of their greatest and yet England never looked likely to lose,, although the final score was a bit generous. Both teams maintained their high level for years. Those were wonderful times, with wonderful teams and such highly skilled players (and no TMO). My younger lad was playing rugby seriously, touring Australia and New Zealand in 04 and then just Australia, with British Colleges in 05. Everyone was following England in those days. Good times.
