Who edited the original footage? It remains unknown but the fact is that it was most likely done by Rockstar Games, even if they sounds were dubbed. Rockstar Games says it was IGN but it could not be if the video was included on Rockstar's own promotional disc. Greetings.

2001-2023 I feel like I've traveled back in time

TBH the get out of the car line could easily be coming from the NPC being pulled out. The game was still in early development and I know its common place for place holder lines used for testing to correspond to what triggered the line. so for example if the trigger for an npc saying a line is ‘seeing claude has a gun’ then they would play “he’s got a gun” which then alerts the developer while testing “ok the dialogue trigger for seeing a gun works”. same with claude pulling that guy out of the car. It could easily just be a re-used line attached to the NPC to let the developers know that the ‘pulling out of a car’ dialogue trigger works. This seems like the most realistic option to me, that way rockstar are telling the truth when they say claude was never planned to talk and it also explains why this audio is on an official non edited trailer.

Nice trailer the ambient music and dark tone really shows off the dark gritty vibe and atmosphere of liberty in Gta III.

Claude doesn't pretty much talk, but in the game, you can hear his hurting voice, like when he get punched or get shot, he will say "ough". I tried it and I heard it, I want you guys to try it too.

I want to go back in time to see people's reaction to this 3d open world game for the first time.

I really dig the music in this trailer it reminds me of how different the time was compared to today i still remember when this game first come out and memories of me and my brother going to the video rental store to rent it so we can play it and cause mayhem and complete the story so this game will always be close to me it kinda sucks what's happening to the series now, rockstar is milking gta 5 to death all because of gta online i wasn't a fan of the online when it first come out back in 2013 and now 7 years later in 2020 i still don't care for it and never will i always play the gta games for the stories and maybe sometimes mess around in the city just exploring or messing with the npcs too, it probably ain't no telling when gta 6 is going to release and at this rate rockstar is going we might be waiting 10 or 12 years for the next game in the series because they keep milking the current gta and gta 5 is about to re-re-release again for the ps5 and xbox series x for the third time so the game is about to be stretched across three console generations and once the game gets released again on the new consoles next year the game will be 8 years old then getting close to a decade which sucks but i know it takes time though to make a game like grand theft auto and i know rockstar is going to have another masterpiece on their hands when they finally reveal gta 6 or whatever the name it's going to be called and release it to the public. The way gta 5 is still selling is mind blowing with 135 million copies sold is insane for a gta game and it ain't no telling whether gta 6 will beat gta 5's record or not only time will tell when it finally releases.

Guys. In bets version rocktar had voice actor for claude. In 2001 actor retired. But trailer looks creepy because its old 2000 trailer. But we know claude said "get out of the car" and" i have a gun". Actor name is jonhan tuber. But its sad that voice actor retired and claude got removed his sound.

what I don't understand is, if Rockstar claims someone edited Claude to say "Getoutadacar!", then why didn't they get rid of the fake and replace with the original in which he didn't talk? or was it done by someone in Rockstar as a practical joke, but forgot to take it out before trailer was uploaded?

I like to think of this trailer as "the introduction" of gta 3, of how was it before the game starts. when Claude was small time (and could talk ofc)

Let me explain how these sounds work. because in 2024 people still claim that claude talks in anyway... The "HE'S GOT A GUN!" sound effect is from GTA 2. it was heard if a pedestrian heard shots from any gun that claude shot (it is not activated when they see us holding a gun though) Get out of the car (man): is also from GTA 2, however the Man part at the end of it is cut.. it would activate when Claude steals a car from a random ped. by saying get out of the car the pedestrian is implying that he opened the door/got in without permission so he just says get out of the car. it does sound like something a GTA character would say when jacking a car but it was a placeholder so that developers knew that lines activate so in conclusion, Claude does not talk. the whole alpha/beta soundbank was borrowed from GTA 2. he was supposed to but R* never recorded lines for him. they simply didnt need a voice actor.. is it too hard to understand? and the pain sounds he make are not his voice anyway and no these arent stock effects aswell lol
