@@finnishfatboi809 The entire Doom series is on the Switch, uncut and uncensored. And Nintendo basically stopped censoring their games after the Nintendo 64 era. Resident Evil 4 and the remakes of Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid were GameCube exclusives at launch.

@@knicksi3875 Grand Theft Auto Advance wasn't cancelled. It was the GBA port of Grand Theft Auto III, which later became GTA Advance, which got cancelled. But this was the first time that Grand Theft Auto games were given native ports on a Nintendo home console.

Great overall games for remembering my childhood. I don’t really care about the graphics on the switch. I’ve always wanted to play gta on the go when I was young so this is perfect. The mobile version feels weird without buttons. Thanks rockstar.

you can always use Razer Kishi or backbone controller for iOS. I suggest you to wait for the mobile version if you can wait. your choice though.

@@vps_xddd660 I guess you probably have some difficulty on reading or processing information. I said I find the controls on the mobile version poor. I never talked about mobile performance. If you want to play at 60-90fps use a computer or a console not an iPhone. And the iPhone 6, that I do not own, still runs smoothly most of the apps so I don’t get your point. Did your mama got you an iPhone 13 for Xmas? 😂

To everyone that has problems with the lag and frame rate, just go into the graphics settings and change the Fidelity to “Preformance” and that should solve your problem

Ye I seriously don't get everyone's complaints with the graphics It just looks like the other versions but with some of the great lighting only. In fact this is the first remaster I have seen from other developers aside from Nintendo that actually looks like things changed unlike in remasters like ac3 or dark souls for the switch which looks exactly like the og versions.

I only commented about the graphics because most are complaining about that when it's not even a problem (I mean have you seen them? They're as ridiculous as to saying it still looks like the ps2 version). And I'm dissapointed that gta vc and 3 are terribly affected by the shitty fps for the switch since I wanted to play all three. Now I have to play only gta sa while waiting for a patch and while I love that game the most it sucks because I was more hyped to explore a remastered vc.

They can't fix it, the switch is weak for this game. Already cut the graphics and lowered the resolution to 320p, still 20 fps. These are switch power problems.

Isn't it crazy that 3 old school GTA games are on a Nintendo system? I thought Nintendo liked to remain kid friendly but i was shocked when i found a remaster was coming on switch since I have GTA SA on PS2 and the remaster for PS3.

It's not the first time they've had adult games on a Nintendo system. The Wii had Scarface and Manhunt 2, and the DS got Chinatown Wars.

Written November 15, 2021 The Switch version losses a lot of graphical fidelity the PS4/PS5 and Xbox counterparts had..and don’t even have Fidelity/performance options. I don’t mind if the Mobile version looks like Switch version when it releases early 2022 but it’s a huge disservice to mobile if DE did since both platforms are capable of better graphics on DE

they still are but since Xbox and PlayStation are the best at a whole selection of m rated games plus online play. Nintendo is trying to jump on that bandwagon by releasing handheld ports of m rated games and to add an even bigger laugh. Now Nintendo is adding their OWN online subscription plus fortnite, apex, and over watch.

The controls for the cars, planes, etc. were updated, but the bicycles still use the same control scheme as the PS2 version for some reason. So press B to accelerate, Y to reverse, etc.

I am still amazed that we got the GTA Trilogy and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on the Switch on the same day. It’s a huge win for Nintendo Switch owners. This also means that the entire 3D Universe can be played on the go. This game, GTA III, and Vice City are on the Switch, GTA Advance is on Game Boy Advance, while Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are on PSP.

all of those games except for GTA Advance are already playable on the go on iphone years ago. with or w/o the controller. switch got its own advantage which is a support from big publisher though.

Do you think it’s worth it for the switch version? Or should I wait? I would love to play this on pc but I don’t like using RGL. Edit: I bought the game, GTA 3 does have fps drops here and there but it’s still playable... I haven’t got to try the other games.. I would suggest to wait for a patch update but so far I’m enjoying the game.

They should allow an option to play the original version instead of the Definitive edition in the menu.

It would still run on Unreal Engine 4 instead of the original RenderWare, and would have most of the same problems inherent to porting the games to a different engine. But they definitely should've given us the option to switch between the original PS2/Xbox graphics and the modern graphics. That's what Halo Anniversary did.

Hearing GTA San Andreas being played on anything gives me PTSD. I swear because of the AI that used to piss me off so badly to the point where i wanted to break shit. I swear you don't know how many times i've banged my desk and keyboard and stuff whenever GTA SA crashes when either my mods don't fucking work, The AI and NPC's do the wrong thing, etc, etc.

I absolutely agree. It's very flawed, but I'm still having so much fun playing this and Vice City on the Switch. It seems like so many of my favorite games are on the Switch or coming to it soon, and the GTA Trilogy is no exception.

@@osadugwem5337 Any game that is bought off of the eShop is digital, so you don't need to stick the cartridge into the slot to play the game. However, it takes up more space in your Switch's hard drive.

Agreed. I hope GTA Advance, Liberty City Stories, and Vice City Stories all get ported to the Switch too, so we'll have the entire 3D Universe on one portable console. But at least those three are already on handhelds.

I'm personally enjoying these games despite the flaws. For all the problems the Definitive Editions have, they're still the same classic games that existed twenty years ago on PS2 and Xbox.

And it doesn't run too bad with the latest patch either. Not a flawless port, but still better than nothing. At least it's not a Cloud version. I can definitely recommend getting the GTA Trilogy on Switch.

GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas are all on the Switch. And while the Switch ports aren't without a ton of flaws (though the flaws aren't exclusive to the Switch), I do recommend getting the GTA Trilogy the next time there's a sale.
