I've heard this piece countless times by wonderful musicians, but it's never sounded so alive as here! I consider your rendition to be the gold standard. I would love to hear this live someday around Chicago!

In addition to being anointed by the Muses, Alec is physically gifted--he has huge hands and very long fingers which enable him to effortlessly negotiate the frets, the picking and strumming of the strings. Rachmaninoff also had large hands which could span 12 notes on the keyboard. Alec's hands very closely resemble Chopin's. Oh...and that's a might fine guitar as well!

せっかくの才能をダメにしているのは基本的な奏法の間違いです。すなわちギターを立てすぎているため指先で弾く要素が強く音に腕の重みが乗らず軽くなり、特に低音が弱くなるため全体的に音楽の風格がありません。低音だけの部分なら親指に力を入れて弾くので一応は出るのですが、芯がなく遠達性がない音になり、電気的に音を大きく見せるだけになりステージでは後ろの席にまで音は十分に届かないでしょう。弦を弾くポジションもサウンドホールに近い所を多用し過ぎのため、一見すると柔らかくは聴こえるものの本当に心には響かずそれを基本に据えて音楽を作ると、腰のない女性的な音になっています。なぜセゴビアやブリームのような大きなステージで活躍してきた天才たちはギターの持ち方をもっと寝かせて弾いていたのか考えるべきでしょう。地球の重力を利用して指先でひっかくのではなく腕の重みの要素を増やすのです。バイオリンもピアノも、長い弦の音を出す位置はずっと端の方であり、それには理由があるのです。そしてその場所でも柔らかく美しいうっとりとする音色を出す技術がありますが、あなたには音色の技術がまだありません。指は早く正確に動くのですから、音楽に風格と重みと音色の幅をつけ音楽の深みを広げる道を考えてください。そうすれば歴史的な大ギタリストになれるかも知れません。
