In February 2023, the members of the society prepared and rehearsed their own numbers for our Charity Fundraiser, showcasing a wide variety of different styles, genres and song types. The show was in aid of two charities this year, with 50% of ticket sales being donated to these charities. St. Teresa’s Hospice is based in Darlington and provides palliative and end of lie care and support to people with life-limiting illness, and to their families or carers. Billy’s room was set up in memory of Billy Daniel Jones, and raises money in order to fund a dedicated bereavement room and bereavement counsellor in the Neonatal Unit at James Cook Hospital, Middlesborough.
