@@gerardmoloney433 "The Way I've Always Been " and "That's How I Got To Memphis " are 2 of my many favorites. I'd be amiss if I didn't include songs he and Dixie wrote, in retirement, for bluegrass band's like "The Hound Dog From Harlan" for Big Country Bluegrass. They'd write the songs, then bring the artists they wanted to cover the song to their home, Fox Hollow, and get them to record the song. The process included homemade banana pudding and sweet tea.

Oh, man! How "Old T" could describe the whole Country Scene from A to Z! He was the greatest *EVER* and will never be surpassed. I have over 2GB of Tom T. Hall's mp3 songs collected over many years. There may be some duplicates but they are *ALL* great to me. Tom T. Hall sums it up himself in one of his songs: "What A Song!". Listen to that and realise just how great he was.

I think of me being about 4 or 5 and standing beside my mama in church, looking up at her singing while they sang all those old songs.... I still hear her sweet voice every time I hear The Old Rugged Cross, In The Garden, and so on.... precious times in our lives that cannot be relived. Thanks be to the Lord for allowing us to keep those precious memories and to retain the hope of seeing our loved ones again in a place where there's no pain or sickness or work or worry. Jesus said 'I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. Amen.
