Miss Lori I'm 71 and a had oral cancer in2019 I have a feeding tube so any food I. eat had to be liquefied. I mix zucchini and. Yellow squash with garlic, onions red bell peppers, yellow and green and orange peppers with onions and a can of stewed Italian tomatoes, with oregano and Italian seasoned, then put it in hot cast iron bring to boil then simmer and let cook then add cream and blend into soup. I to freeze the squash because I have a hard time swallowing. But the good Lord has blessed me I'm still here. I love your channel. And if anyone as any recipes I might be able to try I would really appreciate it. I love your channel I can't always. Comment due to radiation I have many problems. Miss Lori, I use self rising flour, plain flour, cake flour, hmmm what else. Lol Whatever works for the occasion and food I’m preparing. You are a fantastic cook with a HUGE following of loyal subscribers. Don’t let the few snarky folks get to you. There’s always a few in every bunch that know best, do best, think best and don’t mind sharing. 😳 Yet they keep coming back. I always read the comments on my channels I watch and am absolutely shocked sometimes at the things people say. Can’t understand why anyone feels that entitled. I love your channel! It is my favorite as it is with so many. Just keep being you and please know that you have thousands of us who enjoy very video y’all make. Even if you do use self rising sometimes 😂🤣😆🤣😂😆 God bless and happy gardening.👩‍🌾💛

I do enjoy watching you and your husband as the two of you go through your day. But to take the time out of the two of your day and share as the two of you do, is a blessing for soooooo, many of us. You may say that you are sharing which you are. But in reality the two of you are teaching as well. Teaching the younger people away of life that is said to be long gone. But it is wonderful people like yourselves who are making sure that the old ways are with us all, always. Gardening, cooking, canning, hurting, fishing, raising animals for meat and pork. The importance of God in our daily lives. It is because of you Miss Brown And Mister Brown people are beginning to see that there are better ways to live. Ways that allow us To be able to take care of ourselves, rather than looking to others to bail us out. Like the government and their programs. So that when or if hard times do come, maybe they want be as bad or as hard, thank you and Mister Brown and others like you who were willing to give of themselves and their time to share and teach, this has allow others to see that we all are able to take better care of ourselves, with the help of God and people like yourselves there are better ways of living. Thank you soooooo very much for your time. And for all that the two of you have given to soooooo many of us out here in the land of the internet. God Bless You Both as well as your children and grandchildren.

My kids loved going to Grannys in summer to get Squash Chips. Cooking for myself only now, I still cook gobs, then package in seal a meal & freeze to later refry in airfryer. If I don't have buttermilk, I'll beat an egg in some milk. We use the handle end of a wooden spoon stuck strait down in the fat to check the heat. If it's hot enough, bubbles will form around the spoon handle. Can't wait til our squash comes on! Yours looks sooo good!!

I have never added cornstarch before and you are so right, it made them crunchy!!! Thank you for your wonderful channel and the time and energy you both put into including us on your journey and sharing your recipes, and gardening ideas with us!!!! God Bless you and your family! ❣

I'm frying squash from my garden right now. My mom always cut them long ways. I have different cuts. This reminds me of my younger years working in the fields and enjoying my mom's good cooking 😋

Love squash any way you cook them. I started cubing my green tomatoes up to deep fry, and they're so much better than sliced, they don't get grease doing them in cubes.

Miss Lorie, My mouth was watering so bad. Lol. I love Fried Squash, Okra, Green Tomaters, and Cabbage so much! The Crispier it is, the better it is! I took a cabbage and made me a kinda thin Flour Batter n seasoned it real well with salt, pepper, onion powder and some powdered chicken bullion and cut the cabbage into chunks n dipped in my batter n deep fried it. That cabbage was so good with my Fried chicken, pinto beans, cornbread, mashed potaters, n sliced tomater n onion! It was absolutely tender but crispy delicious! Thank you for this Grandma Squash Cook! God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸

I'll be chunking my squash up! We eat a lot of squash during the summer and fall.. I sprinkle it with parmesan cheese as soon as it's out of the frying pan and occasionally I'll serve it with marinara sauce as a dip.. So good!💗

I love squash. We used to make squash fritters, too... thinking on that, I would use some of the canned squash for fritters. So good.

Hey Lady, YumO 🙌,First time I had Fried Squash and Okra , I was 19 yrs old and away from Home first time in York Town VA! I could eat hot sauce at the time, my mouth was too tender LoL but as I hung around long enough I ate Texas Pete on everything. That is until my stomach screamed at me 😰. Hi to Mr Brown 🌰😘 JO JO IN VT 💕😄

Hi Lori the yellow squash is so good and I love the method how you fry it up. Never knew to put buttermilk and soaking it, then self rising flour seasoned to fry. Thank you. They came out so nice golden brown. ❤️❤️👍👍🌷🌷☺️🥰
