I just discovered this channel and i am soo heartbroken already that he passed away. I truly hope his grandsons continue his legacy in some way shape or form. that is their customs. i have sat in my vehicle in the USA, and watched people pick their noses the whole time, and then touch their face, touch their hair, and handle their steering wheel. such nastiness, and you know they will touch their spouse, their children, and their food with the same nasty hand. the Chipotle restaurant had no way to wash their hands after using the bathroom, then served up food to people, and now they are shut down because of the Ecoli they spread!

We wish we can all be able to see-meet you. That's how much everyone care for you. And for your families. And everyone who was supportive. Just know you don't have too struggle anymore in life. The dislikes are about how the people are cooking and eating with their hands , and everything else. Why don't I see that happening? The food was spread on a clean, sparkling banana leaf before being packed. Then why would you assume they are cooking with unwashed hands? The rice was washed before being boiled. The chicken cleaned and scored before being cooked. Just because they are not cooking in a upscale indoor kitchen don't mean they don't care about clean and healthy cooking. The oil used was fresh. And all the rest of the ingredients. He is just a very old man with old hands. They are not pretty, but they are not dirty either. Edit: I wanted to point out the kindness of the persons in the video without making it look condescending/ protracted but forced generosity. This goes beyond religion/ race/ 1st world/ emerging economies/ monarchies/ constitutional monarchies/ province/ state, and every other man-made boundary and authority designed to exalt itself or subjugate nay-sayers. We need to pick our battles. If I have learned anything from this, is to never be complacent about the blessings in life. If you have food, share. If you have enough money, donate. If you are an academic, contribute. If you are with authority, engage and expand your mind. This is the only way to live.

Pardon me but I cannot find anything here that signifies it was a saying of how food well prepared by one's heart should be taken gracefully. Also, I do get your attempt at cultural comparisons and why literal translation does not do one good in conveying the message but I'm pretty sure that what Krishna is saying is that if you eat with hands rather than cutlery then the food will be delicious than if you use the former. Let's say we are served traditional pepperoni pizza If you eat it with cutlery it is average if you eat it with hands it's more delicious Do you get it now? This is what I am trying to point out, she's generalizing that if you eat a dish with your hands rather than cutlery it would be more delicious. That logic is what I was trying to argue with O.P. I wasn't trying to criticise any culture or their respective dishes. No cultural offenses here whatsoever really.

How do you know he's not wealthy? Not every wealthy person looks it. If he is Indian and can cook like this for the poor, own land like this, own computers and the video equipment necessary, a car and his sons are dressed in clean clothes with modern eye glasses....I'd say he is most likely extremely wealthy by Indian standards.

I think it's the sound of the outdoors that makes it so cozy and ofc the warm feeling of helping others when the person helping expects so little in return, I feel no matter who you are and where you come from the heart is the heart and it's nice to get connected back to basic life instead of distracting ourselves with the things around us.

We live in a condo in the city, and my husband saw this...felt envious because grandpa was cooking in a place that looks like a farm, cooking with wood (that could add extra flavor to what you're cooking), enjoying the abundance of nature. every stage of the cooking process had my mouth watering, especially the moment he took off the lid and started digging up the chicken under the rice. I'm so glad the children got such good helpings!
