Whenever you talk to teens about social media addiction (and addiction in general), they roll their eyes. I know that because I am a teenager myself. The only social media I have not gotten rid of is KZfaq because I enjoy the music, comedy, and educational content. It is the only social media application that has been show to have positive effects (potentially, obviously in excess it is damaging). But even then, those are just excuses. In reality, it is because I have grown up on KZfaq. I tried other apps like Instagram and TikTok. After months of using it and quickly falling into addiction, I deleted it. It took a few times and there were a few relapses, but I finally no longer use it and I feel so much better. If anyone needs to talk to me, they can tell me in person. Social media is harmful and I wish it was gone. It has ruined our society.
