Granny actually sneaked into the castle, and took photos of the events that happened there. Those pictures are in the room where Angelene is contained. In the middle of events, Slendrina was able to escape the book, and possesed her teddy bear. The reason Granny can track you down with that bear, is because she doesn't want anyone knowing or talking about her "dead" family, and because she can always sense Slendrina's soul. You can release what is possesing the teddy bear (Slendrina) by placing it on the crib. The reason granny vanishes and spawns back in the basement when you place the bear in the crib is because she thinks Slendrina is dead, and she doesn't want to see her spirit because of that. The reason you don't take damage by looking at Slendrina in the game "Granny" is because when her spirit got trapped in the book, she lost all of her properties. She is now a ghost. And the story ends there.
