No government anywhere can guarantee automatic approval of any visa to a foreign national just like they don't guarantee entry into their country even when you have their visa the immigration can still cancel the visa or deny you entry into their country.Not all countries give automatic citizenship or permanent residence to foreigners who stayed over 3-5 years(or more) or being born in their country to foreign parents.Ive been to more than 30 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia,North n South America those countries don't owe me an automatic visa and they state that entry to their country isn't guaranteed even when holding their visa, I've never overstayed or entered any country illegal or feel entitled to those countries, iam only entitled to enter or be in South Africa because iam a citizen

@kikipula7967 This is not an emotional things it is 's logical thing. The Home Affairs has given Zimbabweans permits since 2010 also the holders of these permits have been getting less and less. When the project started in 2010 it was called DZP. Then is was renewed and called ZSP and now it was called ZEP. DZP project issued 250 000 permits the ZEP issued 178 000. I'm sure if they renewed there would be less than 100 000 as some Zimbabweans had retired and returned to Zimbabwe have died or moved to other interested especially the UK(England). The point is continuing to renew these visa's is not working for anyone. Its doesn't work for South Africa and well as the Zimbabwean. The Minister is wasting money in court when the solution is very simple. Giving permanent residence to 100 000 Zimbabweans is the only logical solution. This number is less than 1% of total population of South Africa.

@Batsi_ZW27 күн бұрын
Thank you boss, you raise some valid and important questions and concerns. As a Zimbabwean ZEP holder, I would like to address each of your points thoughtfully. Escape During War or Natural Disaster: The idea that people could easily escape to another country in the event of war or a natural disaster is not as simple as it may seem. Relocating involves numerous challenges, including financial constraints, bureaucratic processes, and the emotional toll of leaving one's home and community behind. Moreover, international laws and border regulations must be respected. Living in Two Countries: Permanent residence in South Africa means that I have committed to making South Africa my primary home, working, paying taxes, and contributing to the South African economy as we have always did without the PR status. While I may maintain cultural and familial ties to Zimbabwe, my primary residence and obligations would be in South Africa. Economic Concerns and Population Growth: The South African economy, like many others, faces challenges, and it is natural to be concerned about job scarcity and population growth. However, immigrants often contribute positively to the economy by bringing skills, starting businesses, and filling gaps in the labor market. Many ZEP holders are productive members of society who help drive economic activity and create employment. Loyalty to Country: Loyalty is not a zero-sum game. Many of us feel a deep sense of loyalty and gratitude to South Africa for providing opportunities and safety. At the same time, we hold a natural connection to our heritage and homeland. This dual sense of belonging enriches our contributions to both countries. Frequent Visits to Zimbabwe: Visiting Zimbabwe occasionally is a way to maintain family ties and cultural connections, much like any expatriate community around the world. It does not diminish our commitment to South Africa. Instead, it fosters a broader perspective and often strengthens our resolve to contribute positively to our host country. Role of ZEP Holders: ZEP holders are individuals who have sought refuge and opportunities in South Africa due to economic and political challenges in Zimbabwe. Many have integrated into South African society, working hard and contributing to the community. We seek to build a future here, support our families, and uphold the values of respect, hard work, and community. We are not in your beautiful country to bring your nation down, or burn your nation to ashes, NO.!! We seek refuge, and we can't afford to make SA suffer, because we suffer more if that so happens. At the end of the day, South Africa did not come what it became today by itself, neighbouring countries like Zimbabwe also assisted in the success of South Africa as a strong nation it is known for today. You don't question your neighbour such questions when his house is falling apart, he or she is still your brother. WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR NATION MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW, WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR GIVING US REFUGE.

Population create a demand, a demand create jobs, jobs, jobs create a happy people, if you passed your matric you will understand
@Batsi_ZW27 күн бұрын
@@simbiromudzingwa Indeed, an increasing population can lead to higher demand for goods and services, which can stimulate economic activity and job creation. However, I would like to remind you that many immigrants, come with diverse skills and a strong work ethic. We contribute to the economy not only as consumers but also as active participants in various sectors, thereby helping to meet the increased demand and foster economic growth. It's also important to recognize the challenges and complexities involved in this dynamic. Effective policies and supportive environments are crucial to ensure that the potential benefits of population growth are realized, leading to job creation and improved living standards for everyone. If you were an independent thinker, open minded, and observer of life and experiences of nations all over the globe, you would understand.. Respectfully

Even Helen suzman agrees that no court has powers to dictate to government on this issue hence they are appealing the procedure. Motsoaledi should go back and start the process of consultations per court order and after that immediately cancel this ZEP.
