Just grabbed my gold. This one wasn't bad at all. Suzuka is another story lol. I got well over 1:04 on my first lap. I think I was around 1:04.4 and still managed to recover that time with the rolling start. Thanks for the videos Oink. I know you aren't too active anymore, but these GT5 videos are extremely helpful to those of us who are still looking to fully complete the game.

After 5 years of non-playing GT5 at PS3, I started again with the difference now playing with a wheel (TS300) and much driving experience in formula1 racing at PS4 and I managed within a short period of time gold trophy for vettel event @monza (2:03,687) and followed by gold @nürburgring (2:07,896) after again short period of time JJJMany thanks to your videos and explanations - that helps a lot, because this events are really the hardest compared with other “gold trophies” in other racing games. Now only one is missing vettelgold@suzuka for Gold Standard Trohpy, but i`m looking forward to earn also this one J Thanks again to the helpful video ;)my driving options: wheel T300, automatic transmission, Skid Recovery Force = On, ABS = 1, all other assists off.

Thanks, amazing guide! I just got 2:07.918 with DS3 control, with your exact settings, only took 13 hours. My fastest first lap was 1:03.701 and my fastest second lap was 1:03.55?. I didn't do it that fast when I got the gold, but still got it. There's alot to be said for some turns to just let the car slide for a split second and then jam and turn. GOOD LUCK ALL. PLEASE LIKE SO OTHER'S KNOW IT's POSSIBLE!

Best TUTORIAL for the Vettel challenge I have seen. My progress was at a standstill with lap times 1.039 to 1.052. Watched your video and then took 2 slow laps making sure I hit the marks I was missing. On my 2nd try I got my silver and only have 0.5 for gold. Should not take long now that I have found where I was loosing all my time.

Great guide mate. Tried this for 3 or so hours getting silver after silver, your guide helped me find those extra tenths each lap. flogged it in the end, cheers for the help.

After years of not being able to beat this (barely getting bronze) I have some tips for those that are doing this with a DS3. First off, have it as an automatic, it's one less thing you have to worry about, and it works just fine. Second (and the most important thing that NO ONE has mentioned). When coming up, or turning in a corner, keep your finger on the gas, and hold the brake at the same time (or slightly letting off gas/brake if needed). Doing this allows the car to create downforce and will fly thru the corners much faster than doing what most people do in any other car (that is, letting off gas, then brake, going thru corner then on gas). This single handily improved my times drastically. Finally, I normally prefer the 3rd camera angle, but doing this in first person allows you to see where the tires are, and just seems to give you a better depth perception over all. Once you get use to it, you'll see what I mean. Good luck. Getting gold gives you a different colored Redbull, but specs and everything else are the exact same.

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO USES "CONTROLLER"!!!! You need to put the Steering controller sensitivity to 7.

I done these just a few days ago for fun with a knock off ds3 with no preasure sensitivity and without doing the wide semi trick on nurburgring a was well proud of meself...

thanks for the vid man, very helpful. That hairpin before the second split and the last corner seem to be where im losing most of my time but thanks to you i can now see the reference points for breaking a lot easier. Not as easy as monza's meter markers before every turn.

@houndhawk1 It merely takes practice. Some people require a small amount of it, and others a lot more to get gold. I'm guessing I'm somewhere between average and a lot. That said, I have gold at Monza and Suzuka, and I just went from 2:10.2 to 2:8.8 to get silver here.

Traction control 0 seems to be pretty important, did it second attemped after several hours of failing as soon as i turned it from 1 to 0.

Mighty impressive driving there buddy and an excellent guide :) - I need to find 0.3s somewhere and this just might help me get gold/platinum! like button and favorite material for every GT5 fan!

how can you brake and steer that hard? ive got my controller sensitivity on 7 and still cant steer that hard.

@Keeden McDonald The ghost car begins 2 seconds ahead of you and does a silver run. To get gold, all you have to do is finish within half a second of the ghost.

Never mind, I got the gold. 2'07"462. (Yeah, that's a lot of time to spare for a damn DS3 run.)

Also, you dont need to have gold on all the events. If you race the endurance series in bspec, you wont have to do them in aspec. So i advice to do all the raceseries in bspec since it's the only way to gain exp for Bspec. Focus on the special events and driving licences for gaining exp for aspec. You can also do the mentionned seasonalevent. That's the fastest way to gain aspec exp!

How the hell do you make the game let you drive through the final chicane on the second lap and get a gold time? 5 frickin times I've had tenths to spare and it levitates the frickin car off the track. 16 hours I've been playing since I got a 2:08.033 and it won't let me finish.

nurburgring is a tough track ether this car and any other car i use prototypes like the audi r10 or the peugeot 908 and find it tough

well then ive got some good news for you. You can just buy the karts in the dealership. it's 5000 for one so you can just buy 1000 for 5 000 000. If you really want to obtain easy money and exp; go to seasonevents. buy yourself an dodge challanger '70. It's costs 75.000. Tune it but be carefull because the seasonevent has a limit. It is called the classic m championship. Chose the first race on daytona. You will receive 50100 exp and 350000cr.

with d controller brake a bit early turn in hard from the outer apex in close to the inner apex and out towards the outer apex learn to use R3 stick in offers throttle oppurtunity. automatic traction off, skid recovery on, steering ass. off abs 1, sensitivity 6 or 7 for aggession but u will loose time correcting. smooth is fast fast is smooth. GET A WHEEL!!!!!!!! no more carpel tunnel syndrome!

Great race man im getting 1,19.00 on 1st then dnf. I will have your video playing next time i try it. Its this event and the skyline event stopping me platnium this bish the rest just take time but untill these are done i lost my motivation.

being an actual racer is my downfall here because i don"t use the track extremeties at the beginning and i am in arrears of 4 seconds plus patience with my glitchy driving force gt wheel managed finally a silver in the monza short of the gold by 1.642 secs suzuka is not bad when the time comes in can get that.

Is it just me or is your steering sensitivity super high because i cannot for the life of me turn sharp like you.

youre using whell rigth? because its impossible to do what you show here and in Suzuka because there is a delay in sixaxis that dont let do exactly what you did. if you were using sixaxis you are almost like Chuck norris .

You shouldnt really need STM, there is that much downforce generated by floor of the car you have all the stability you'll ever need :P Good vid btw, its hard to push the car to the limit cos you always feel like you're goin fast, good to have a reference.
