Earlier this year I planted two ThomCord (Thomson and Concord) vines and this video was very informational. For the most part, table-type grapes are cane pruned. Thanks!

That was so helpful. I have both wine and table wines. My flame seedless last year were so small, because I didn't thin or cluster prune the grapes. I can do it now. Thanks for showing me how.

Excellent video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Lammywalness Green Grapes Guide (should be on google have a look)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to become a successful grape grower without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my friend Sam after many years got great success with it.

There are a few components to how to grow eating grapes. One plan I found which successfully combines these is the Grape Grower Folio (check it out on google) without a doubt the no.1 guide i've heard of. Check out all the super info.

OK, you just answered my biggest question, how to prune a vine that you don't know which type it is. Train side cordon to cains, and one to spurs, see which does the best. Thank you very much.

take advantage of structure development for the first one to two years. After they are structured the way you want then begin to spur or cane prune for fruit.. Look to the variety description for the selections you planted for cane or spur recommendation.

if grapes are wine based then try eating about two big bowls of seedless grapes and see if you get drunk naturally.

Hi Chuch, i have been training a vine over an arbour. I will try cane & spur pruning to see which way is best. When they start to shoot say 3 foot in the air do you tie them down to a wire or just let them go.

I just set out three grape plants from Lowes. They are a couple feet tall. How long can I expect 'till they are up and producing?

about 3 yrs tie them up to a wire with string the will follow the wire when they grow ps you must water young plants reg 2 times a week

My grapes are a bit out of control, growing up a corner of my house (they outgrew the trellis I had and is now pulling on a cable. How can I shape them the way I want at this point? Can I prune them back in the fall? Will that hurt my harvest for the next year? Thank you!

the best thing you can do for a grape cut it big time leave the main runner on the wire now this done in the fall the side vines need to be cut leave about 3 leaf nodes cut the rest off go all the way to end doing this what happens next spring the grapes will come on the new growth you have to do this to have a big crop.
