Dude was 11 in 1997 so I have a few years on him but I remember what Mapes (peace to Shotgun Suge) was like before GS. Way back in the day, my Mom's co-worker's family owned Mapes Ave Records. All I remember is that by the time the 2000's rolled around and I was back from New Brunswick it was all 🔵 and 🟣.

Fascinating, I'm from Knoxville TN. I've known a couple Grapes here but never heard of a set being located here. Mostly GDs, Hoovers, VLs, some skinhead gangs, various Bloods and Crips, and a handful of Black Stones.

Nah in NJ your local Set/block comes before your Gang Affiliation. Since the 2000s the gang Structure in NJ died and now it’s more of a free for all. Every independent block has beef with another block of they blood,crip whatever it don’t matter you could be Grapes and go to War with Grapes from another set.
