Sir ek calculated value b hoti hay...calculated value or graphical value same hoti hain kya? Meri calculated value 2598 hay or graphical value 2000. (According to my data)

Very good question, the answer more mathematical then philosophical. Jab is ki derivation kartay hain to derive relation tab we found k R vs 1/V ka relation banta hai, to hamein 1/V and R ka graph banana parta hai ... Okay let me try a little philosophical approach as well... Voltmeter here is behaving as a resistor in series with HRB, we find R to set 1/V to zero which means 1/V is zero, iska matlab ye hai V infinite hogaya, or ye tabhi hosakta jab total resistance of the circuit sirf voltmeter ki taraf se ho or wohi voltmeter k resistance ki value hai...

Marium Yousuf Simple y(x) yani y is always dependent upon x and x is always Independent quantity... In our experiment we are changing resistance and recording voltage... Its mean voltage is dependent upon resistance... And resistance as we have fixed by ourselves (500, 1000, 1500 etc) is Independent quantity here... Or more simply we have to find internal resistance of voltmeter which is denoted as X in formula... And plotted at x-axis... X is plotted at x-axis

Marium Yousuf It needs a detailed explanation but let me summarize it short statements... It is intercept technique, i.e. to find value of x or y we use this technique... We are solving here for x-intercept (i.e. the line crosses x axis to tell us the value of Internal resistance)... I know it is difficult to explain in the comment section but ab kiya karsaktay hain... Comments me to itna hi hosakta hai...

They shouldn't ask this to a pre Med's student... But phir bhi if they ask you can answer them by saying that we are finding value of resistance by x-intercept... That is when our line crosses x axis, y becomes zero... Think for a while when the line crosses x axis what would be the value of y? Obviously it must be zero... I don't they should go in more details
