What I like the most about Grapple is that he demonstrates that Cybertronians have hobbies and dreams just like us Flesh Creatures.

Grapple has been one of my favorite Autobots since I was a kid! I used to think it was Gravel lol!

Grapple, like Perceptor, is a behind the scene star. They don't have the flashiest abilities or the greatest combat prowess, but their contributions to the Autobot cause cannot be doubted. If he does make a cartoon appearance, I hope that it showcases how vital his work has been.

Grapple was my very first Transformer toy, he will always be mad respected by me.

I always thought the Constructicons were completely sincere in their desire to construct the Solar Tower with Grapple for two reasons: 1) to work with (one of) Cybertron's most renowned architects, and 2) to actually build something NOT war-based, like they USED to. I'm not remotely suggesting they wanted to switch sides, but I felt they just wanted to do something different and, literally, build to their strengths. This would have been some interesting character development, showing that EVERYONE gets tired of endless war (Mirage, Huffer, Thundercracker, etc). As a kid, I believed it was only AFTER Megatron confronted the Constructs on their supposed treachery that they QUICKLY flip-flopped and became two-dimensionally evil again. I dreamed of a wistful Scrapper at the end, watching Hoist and Grapple drive away (from a safe distance), echoing Hoist's sentiment: "It WAS marvelous...while it lasted." Lamenting the conflict that would seemingly NEVER come to an end. But I guess that would've been too much pathos for an afternoon cartoon! 😂

Ah yes Grapple. A character that I've always loved but for no real reason. He's just always been a favorite of mine and when I first found out about his Earthrise toy I squeeled with fanboy joy.

To be unnecessarily serious for a second, Grapple (and by extension, Hoist) holds immense importance. Regardless of popularity as a character in a toyline, his importance to the mythos can't be understated. No force or civilization could exist without its infrastructure. The guys that build and maintain infrastructure are some of the most importance people to any civilization.

Yeah, Grapple retrospective. I think he is one of the best character that came out in the second season of the show. I just bought Titans Return Mindwipe in online store. I can't wait for more transformers retrospective video. Still waiting for Terrorcon and Coneheads retrospective though.

I love Grapple, he's a much more complex and well developed character than for example Inferno or even Ratchet in the toon. Many of the season 2 new autobots are more well developed than the season 1 ones.

Probably my favorite figure of the whole war for cybertron line and the new pictures of Inferno are amazing can't wait to get him too and I thank God that the new figures announce are not store exclusive

Funny story. Grapple was never on my must buy list. After my starscream arrived damaged hasbro was out of replacements so they sent me grapple instead. After 3 hours of messing with him I still couldn’t put him down. I immediately went out and picked up hoist... after that I have been hooked on earthrise and only need one more to complete the line. I do hope he gets screen time in the future. He’s definitely an underrated toy and character.

Part of the reason Grapple is such a self-warmer for ER is the QC nightmare that is his transformation. There are many reports of one of the pegs snapping off on transformation and even if it doesn't, unless you sand down the peg, it is super difficult and tedious to remove from it's port.

I have to say, thank you for making the " basics" on Grappel, to be honest I didn t think he be that interesting, but now I known he is.....

I remember that in the Transformers Action Cards, the card that showed the scene with Hauler labeled the character as Grapple. The Masterpiece toy annoyed me by sticking so close to the animation model that the crane arm was hidden in a overly-complicated manner. I don't know what actually happened, but it really looks like whoever designed the character models for season 2 only had pictures of the front of the toys and had to just guess what the backs would have looked like.

I was happy to find his new figure when it first came out as part of earth rise. It is very cartoon accurate, which was something that always disappointed my with the toys available when I was younger. It was one of my last shopping trips before the pandemic started causing resrictions in our state.

And for Hauler it can be this Hauler see the Constructicon come to Earth with Megatron if they remind remind helping building Megatron before the War of Autobot and Decepticon Hauler leave because they will be kill.
