+trackerboy112 Glad to hear your about to join the grass movement. As far as ATV's mine is just 2 wheel drive and it's only a 220. I would love to have a 4 wheel drive. I think that would make a difference when we get buried in snow. Beside the snow though my little Kawasaki does a great jot. It's pulls my water sled but I do dump most of the water. It carries at least 50 poly stakes and 6 polywire reels. I actually purchased a canvas cab that has zip up doors for winter but this year so far the El Nino is keeping us in the 40's and 50's. If you haven't seen these cabs Goggle them. If you have cold winters you may want one. I also love my heated hand grips during winter months. So I guess after you pick the ATV you like and can afford you start setting it up for grazing. Do you know how to weld? I didn't until about 2 years ago. I bought a mig welder from Habor Freight for like $150 with mask and gloves. That welder has paid for it's self several times. I made my rack on the front of my ATV to hold poly stakes. I built my watering sled for the cattle. Etc..It very handy tool for any farmer. Trust me! If you don't know how to weld I learnt from right here on KZfaq. My weld my not be pretty but when the cattle rub on the sled it's never broke. That has to say something, right?

LOOPPEY On this farm I finish the cattle. The breeding/calve operation happens on another farm 60 mile away. The calve are able to stay with their mama until they are weaned around 12 months. From start to finish they never see grain only grass.
