hi.thanks. i do as your steps, but when i choose grass material for the fur, doesnt show the material on the fur in render scene.what should i do?

Hi Moha, you need to make sure yiu have corrently texture mapped the surface to which your applying the VRay fur too. You will also need to make sure you have correctly loaded the grass bitmap into the texture. Another thing to check is that your not accidentally applying the material to another VRay fur you have made in your scene

Hi! I added fur to the surface, but the spikes are rendering in black - only the base plane has the texture. How can I fix it?

This is likley because you need to give a texture to the VRay fur object. This can be done by selecting the object in the VRay assent editor and under the material tab you can select the specific material you want to apply

@@tombudd15 thank you! I figured out that I was on different active layer than grass surface and this caused the mistake.

I tried to add the fur to a surface and it didn't work.

Hi AB, sometimes the respond fur does not show is due to your units. If you are modelling in mm that you will need to scale your fur by 1000 in the settings to see it
