Hi @elcurvo, thanks for the question. We should think in terms of how RGB colours are constructed. First, to better understand this explanation, right-click on the Gradient and select the "Linear Interpolation" option. If we'd keep the hue angle stable at 0 degrees (red), we'd have 256 variations in brightness (adding black) and 256 variations in saturation (adding white). If the number of input parameters exceeds the limits of variation, the repeating values are returned. Additionally, if the input values are too similar, the gradient might assign the same RGB value to them. So, you could increase colour variation to accommodate all the items, or generate a unique colour code per item using "Colour RGB" under Display -> Colour. I just got it working with volume, no problem there. But again it would be nice to understand how to do it by index. My guess is it's just something simple I don't understand yet.

Hi @ScottValentine, thanks for the comment. If you have a simple list, you can use 'List Length' (L1 input) and 'Item Index' (t input). The tutorial on the 'Item Index' is here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eMmKpr2KycumlKs.html You can also apply the same logic with a data tree, assigning a color for each path, by using the 'Tree Statistics'. Just don't forget to match the data structure.
