Hi Daniel, it's a lovely video. Helped me quite a bit. Can you help me with flattening it at one corner. Just like I have a plain sheet and the texture starts a little in the centre area?

Hello great video. I was wondering how I can add points of attraction in the other 4 faces to achieve the same as in the upper face. Thank you very much, I'm an architecture student. Regards!

is there possibility to have, let's say, 5th degree curve within graph mapper?

When I try to input the plan and surface into the loft component it disconnects the other one only letting me plug one a a time. Why is that?

I figure it out. Did not realize I had to hold the shift key when plugging in. Thank you for the great tutorial!

Thank you for that ! Could I also make something similar but with a predetermined flat surface shape and then dividing it and manipulating the points through graph mapper ?

weronikakosior I don't see why not, grasshopper is nothing if not versatile!

Daniel Christev thanks for replying! I just really can't seem to figure out how to manipulate the existing points, deconstructing them into coordinates and then plugging into graph mapper ?
@DanielChristev

+weronikakosior the best method is to figure out how you can fit the points into a 0 to 1 space, this will give you the collection of black/white/colour values, which you can then apply to your surface.

Unfortunately i dont understand the part between 6 and 7 minutes. If you were tell some explanation why those steps should be taken, it would be great. Thank you!

Hey man, this is a great question, I really did gloss over the details of how this actually works, and will attempt to explain that in text. In order to create a surface, we need some amount of points in both directions (U and V), in this instance we will have 20. 20x20 = 400 required values to create this surface, so the cross reference operation essentially matches all U coordinates with all V coordinates, this gives us the 400 values. we also need a corresponding height value for each of these points, so we take the two cross-referenced lists and multiply them together, where both inputs are 0, the output will be 0, where both inputs are 1, the result will be 1 (this is one benefit of using normalised (0 To 1) values). You don't need to cross reference the graph mapper against itself - as I show later on, you can put two different shaped graph mappers into the A abd B inputs of the cross reference, this way you could shape the surface in either direction. Then we take our normalised value and multiply it by some factor, changing the overall height of the surface. Does this help?

is there a way to use points extracted from a curving Brep surface?
