Still watching 2015! Greetings from Finland! :) I'd love to get summer jobs from there, but it's too far away :( And dunno those roads so well... Probably woud be just sitting and watching, but it woud be fun too even get there. BIG FAN!

Am thinking that the grass is going into the pit a bit to fast for the grape to keep up with. Slow and well rolled in gets good silage.

do most of the farms in the uk hire contractors for silage or is this more an exeption? because here in austria most of the farmers do it on their own

UK and Ireland are mostly done with contractors, for the amount a farmer would have it is cheaper then buying the equipment...

John Deere is the most used by all contractors because they are the simplest and easiest to maintain and run and will run e wry day even if you bash them about
