Barry Read puts the McCormick to the test

We took the McCormick over to our good friend Barry Read. He gives us his thoughts on the "Dark Horse” and tells us what else has changed in Read Agri Contracts!!

Brilliant, great to see grassmen getting back to Fermanagh ,to catch up with Barry Read, he is a contractor to admire, ground conditions can be challenging, in Fermanagh , some 1 else said u shudda brought down the triaxel, that would have worked well on the slug!!

Need to see more in depth jobs and look in to McCormick would be good

Show more that mccormick. It's same as landini 7 series. 7-230. Both come from Landini factory in Italy. Good valued tractor for money. Compare it to NH 7 or 6. Some Landinis have 22 000 wh on them, powershifts. How is fuel efficiency? Cab suspension?

Always enjoy Barry's appearances, not scared to give things a try and not scared to go against popular opinion. Still not sure about the Manitou on the pit though.

Barry is a sound lad, some of the silage pits he has to work on , are tiny, they were built in the seventies, when a Mf 35 was a big tractor to push up grass…

I liked that you had a good wee catch up with Barry, but I couldn’t help but feel you could have spent some more time chatting about the McCormick, felt like you glossed over her a bit.

got to love a JD 7920 only thing to keep an eye out on them is the drive shaft between engine and transmission cause when they fail it's a world of hurt.
