I watched all 8 parts. Thanks for the upload. Allowing "tapers" compounded their fan base, is an example of how breaking the rules worked for the Dead.

Very nice documentary. I think they could follow up with something like what happened in the mythological life of Jesus from his teenage reading for the rabbis to his reappearance to lead his movement, but in this case it would be: What happened to the Grateful Dead that launched their playing from the 60s into Mars Hotel then through Wake - Blues - Terrapin - Shakedown, the Godchaux era. How did they do that transition to Mars Hotel? Also, hope Grace Slick lives long enough for another biographer to come along to find out where did here lyrics come from, how did JA create the songs they did! Her biography about personal life and love was interesting, but where are the bodies for dinner?

It's not true. Peace and love always with Grateful Dead. They needed to just play with no politics like they did. I've been to over 50 Dead gigs and never any violence. R.i.p. Jerry., Pigpen. The best live band ever

that Meredith Hunter dude pulled a out a gun in front of a bunch of people and Hells Angels. You dont do that. He found out the hard way. The whole Altamont thing was fucked up right from the get go.
