@@jeffreyparksakajenasus8599 Fake corona virus??? Are you insane? Don't you watch the news? Read newspapers? Just kidding. It's sad that most people believe that the mainstream news media is the bottom line source of all truth. Is this corona virus fake? I don't think it's totally fake but it's nowhere near the "pandemic" they're pushing. It's obvious to me that there's another agenda here, but this is not the place to go into it. People want to, and should enjoy the show.

Music is my passion, it has been for the 40+ years I have been on this Planet and I have never ever listened to Grateful Dead and I cannot quite fathom what it is I am now discovering. This feels like a giant easter egg - hidden from my view until now, why, who knows but I can tell that I am going to enjoy going on this journey!! This is something else!!!

That’s amazing to hear. The Grateful Dead are a way of life. There are so many magical shows for you to discover. The different eras are cool because their music evolved over 30+ years. May I suggest the Double live Album “Without a Net” It’s roughly all from around 1990. A magical year for the boys. 71-74 just amazing, 77-80 probably their peak. Then in 89 shit got very good again. 89-91 some of the best Dead. Jerry was happy, he loved Brent too. If your in need of any recording recommendations, let me know

Looking for a long lost friend. My name is Kevin, Your name is John. I was your roommate during 1988, 1989. You owned an apartment on the west side of Boca Raton. You had a beautiful girlfriend that lived with us. I think her name was Dawn. She was originally from Jersey, you were originally from NY. You had an awesome pit bull named Brutus. I cant remember your last name but i owe you a hug and a thank you larger than words can tell. You took me on tour with you. I had no money and you exposed me to the most magical experience of my life. Everything I have in my life these days are a direct result of that experience. You are an awesome human being and i dont think i ever let you know what a positive impact you had on my life or had the opportunity to even say thank you. You took me in to your life and treated me better than my family ever did. I truly hope you are having an amazing life and are happy and healthy. I would be so excited to be able to connect with you someday and see how you are doing. I would love to be able to have an opportunity to somehow re pay you or give you some kind of offering that might impact your life somehow. I cant even imagine how my life would have ended up if you had not let me into your family when i needed it most. If you are out there, or if anyone knows who I am referring to please.....I need a miracle. PEACE!

@@Tommartell73 I like Hornsby and know little about Welnick, but for me, I'll take Mydland. His gravelly vocals on, "I will take you home," just melts my heart; it's lovely. How fortunate are we who were actually at this show, how grateful are we all that we get to see and watch this recording? They never sounded so good, they were at the top of their game on that tour and this show was probably the best show on that tour. I was back at the sound board getting my groove on. What a show! I have it on DVD and many times over the years I've played it on my neighbor hater, 300 watt infinity speakers just for shits and giggles and when I need a lift.

I took care of the Philly FLyers nets/ice during their stanley cup years...The day the won their first Cup, i was standing next to Kate Smith after rolling out the carpet for her. I found a video of the game and saw the two of us standing in the zamboni tunnel... Got a great, historic pic out of it. Although I don't think any Boston Bruins fans would care!

@@brettmorgen9728 so you never actually saw the grateful dead? OR if so then as part of a lets go get laid or find something fun not to dance within the hive trading sweat, the very air from our lungs, often road un-showered and little clothing. Sure one night at the fillmore auditorium for a rex benefit show I heard one guy talk about being there for devil. Why do I remember because it was so odd and out of place I wondered if he was a federal employee as Mountain Girl was on the other side of me and while I did not know many other attendants it was black tie event with lots of gift bags passed out. At every other dead show i was at I saw at least the Jesus bus with Joshua and a group of 12er's passing out their christian based printings. I never saw not heard of anyone holding a fighting reel with a devil worship passage on it like happened countless times with gospel texts. Your probably just ai bot troll, regardless what is sometimes referred to as the Christ conscience very close to if not the same thing at Dead shows felt by many as a group conscience. From this you could look at pagan history and say that some ritualistic behavior is to induce the group conscience, but that does not mean any attempt to seek awareness should be devil worship. Perhaps the closest group at a dead show would be the Nitrous mafia casting spells and creating illusions through the abstract complexities of logistical stratagem that rivals most modern attack forces, lacking in official capacity, using semi trucks to not just deliver but also as blocks for either side of the alley

Dennis Campbell They played Deer Creek on the 18th and 19th. His last show was the third night at Tinley Park. We could tell there was something up with Brent that night. During the end of Never Trust a Woman, he got particularly nasty with his ad-libbed lyrics. They had the big viewing screens on at the venue, and you could see trouble it in Brent’s eyes. The last thing he sang was from The Weight--“ I gotta go, but my friends, they’ll stick around” Portentous, to say the least.

To hear this, to see Jerry Garcia at the absolute top of his game, to experience the wisdom and joy that the Grateful Dead bring to those who ask for a little bit of truth, who view life through a Grateful Dead lens of opportunity, chance, acceptance, and love, always love - is to be given a special gift. Brent was such a beautiful soul, and he was to be gone within a year, and we had six more with Jerry, but they gave us something eternal and - for me anyway - a way to live. How can you hear a line like "the ABCs we all must face to try and win a little grace" and not live a better life, and have the strength to stare down fools and their bullshit and say "not here buddy, not today?" They've had my back since 1969, and I live with gratitude for them 24/7.

I was at this show and it was life changing! During looks like rain, it began to actually rain on us and it was only for a little while. Lots of fire works after the show and we had to jump into my bus to avoid the bottle rockets that were flying all around the lot... Thanks for the memory and supporting such a great cause!!!

Awesome I'm glad you shared that, I believe what you say is true. I was born on 7 4 89. Funny how 30 years and a day later Dead and Co played that Cold Rain and Snow and well the rest is history. I did not know that.

Ok I’m just throwing this out for good measure, but the dead were classic for a non set list and if they think it’s gonna rain, they’ll slip into box of rain, or looks like rain or the weather report, just to spice shit up or enhance people’s trip. It’s all part of the fun. Glad you got to be a part of it….. they were some good times. Oh and re: bottle rockets…. That’s hilarious….. the golf course adjacent to alpine valley almost got burnt down one year because some dumbass tripping fool tipped over a coke bottle full of bottle rockets, next thing you know, it looked like Baghdad in the lot….. my buddy jumped a fence and put out the fire…. Unreal… only in a Dead lot does crazy shit like that happen. 🤪 Was not trying to rain on your parade (pun intended) but I’ve been to many a show over many years where it rains and they do that. It was still always amazing though. I’m not sure it changed my life but we had a hell of a good time!

Such a beautiful show ! I was lucky that I got to work on the reshoots for this show . It's just seamless what they did . Astonishing to have Jerry just walk up and say Hi . Something I'll never forget for sure .... I love these guys ......
