I have used these for years - I use these all of the time to curl my daughter’s hair for cheer competitions and they work great! They save so much time in the mornings when we have to get up at 5 am. We only use hair spray and the curls hold for days. I pick up a section, spray with hairspray then put the curl firmer on. When it doesn’t reshape itself, I start at the scalp and gently wrap it around my finger to reshape. To avoid pulling, squeeze the rubber ends until they make a circle. The 2nd hook is really helpful for us because she can be loading a curler on the hook while I am putting one in her hair, which saves time.

The “dragging” is because the silicone top grabs the hair to keep it in, you have to squeeze the ends to kind of open them up so it doesn’t squeeze the hair until it’s all in!

When putting it in you have to squish the top as it’s silicone so it will pull on the hair hence why it was pulling. I went through the pain of doing my whole head with them to find that you afterwards🤣🤣thank you for the entertainment though!!! Really needing it during these hard times x

Hi Bunny! You are supposed to hold open the top part at the root of your hair so it's easy to pull the hair through. That's why you were probably struggling and had to pull to hard on the hair cause it was already being held by the silicone top end that closed on it 😊

We use these for cheer competitions! We have found that when putting hair into them and taking them out we squish the beginning open by pressing down on the two sides. Doesn’t cause as much friction! @@143kayte she actually not though, she does it a few seconds and then she lets it go and tries to grab it by the bottom for some reason... every single time, including the example you provided 😪 she needed to just HOLD IT at the root while pulling the needle out in 1 motion thats it. She keeps letting it go to the product comes off because shes not holding it in place by the root

I'll have to wait until winter to curl my hair again. With this humidity, an hour's worth of curling effort, and a whole can of hairspray, is gone in one second flat. 🤷🏼‍♀️
@KG9551
@KG9551 4 жыл бұрын
Don’t use hairspray, use a good gel (a lot of it). Then you scrunch the crunch out and your hair should be soft and hold the style. I have natural curls, and this method helps me keep my frizzy curls stay awesome right through to wash day
@IAmSuzyQ

@@KG9551 Right? That's a great idea! My hair is super long and bone straight, so curling it has always been a challenge, even in winter. And I've never used gel because I didn't like the feeling of crunchiness it gives...and I had no idea you could make that go away! Plus, I've been a nurse for 20 years, basically wearing pajamas day and night, and rarely ever wearing make-up, so I've gotten used to not making myself fancy...but it's time to make a change. Thanks so much for the tip! Take care, Rosetta! ✌️💜😷

Suzy Q Rosetta Drone is completely right, I would just add, use it when your hair is wet, not damp actually wet. Also use a antifrizz product with a strong hold gel, I recommend flax seed gel it’s lightweight and b reaks up easily to a softer result. Last but most definitely not least when you go to take it out COAT HANDS WITH LIGHTWEIGHT OIL, that’s very important, and coil each curl around your fingers when take them out. It will help smooth out any frizz that came from taking out the curl former. P.s get a silk scarf to wrap it up at night and it’ll give you frizz free curls for days.

Destiny Idlette also, coating your hands with a little hair oil when you scrunch out the crunchiness of the gel is definitely a good tip! And I have my silk bonnet that I wear every night 😃 it’s not super fashionable lol but hey, it works!

I think the reason they weren’t just reforming their shape when you put them in is because you were kind of shoving the curler on your hair instead of just pulling it all the way thru. It made the hair pulled too tight in the curler.

she explained that in the past she tried those products and it was a fail because she didn't do it right or used the cheap brands... so now she's going again to see if they actually work once you understand how to do it and bought another brand. So this thing actually works.
