In this video, my roommate will be reacting her first time watch of "Red Dragon" from 2002. She's seen "The Silence of the Lambs" before, and was excited to finally get to see this prequel for the first time!

Guys the 1986 movie MANHUNTER is pretty 80's noir cool : ) It's worth watching just for the pure 80's soundtrack

(Esoteric) In Manhunter, The sleazy reporter. He was tied to a wheelchair, his nose bitten off, set on fire and sent rolling down a hill on fire to slam into a car or something. I read the book back when it came out and still remember vividly that scene decades later. \m/

Red Dragon is not the first Hannibal movie but Hannibal Rising. Caspar Ulliel makes great young Hannibal. Hannibal Lecter is a Lithuanian count's son. Hannibal and his family have escape from their castle and lands durin WWII. His story is very tragic infact as his parents get killed by Nazis and him and his little sister gets captured by Russian vagabonds who later ate his little sister etc.. other horrible things. Hannibal Rising tells the back ground story what made Hannibal what he is now.

@@christopherking4932 It's a known B-Movie. A more accurate depiction of Clive Barkers story would be far better (and gayer, lol) and Clive Barker considers it the worst film out of every book to film adaptation he's had.

You should have watched The Silence of the Lambs before that. Epic fail. Yes, I know that the Red Dragon comes first, in the book's chronology. But the Silence of the Lambs, in which Hopkins was younger and performed at a much higher level (for which he won the Oscar), comes first in the film's chronology and should have been watched first.

I always preferred Michael Mann's Manhunter even if he didn't have the budget for a book accuracy, while Anthony Hopkins is excellent in the three movies, they suffer from too much Hollywood polish, at least that's how it seems to me.
