Mopars are awesome. Right now ....in these days, the performance available from the new Challengers, Chargers and even Durango's is top level and will probably never be repeated I just wish the new Chargers were as cool as the 1969. they did very well capturing the look of the Challengers...the new ones look even cooler...but the new charges fall short

Absolutely the best GYC episode ever! The closing scene, albeit planned, was honestly genuine (un-scripted) when it came to Cindy's reaction. I was befuddled as to why there wasn't a nice conclusion to the episode. I let it play out. I gasped and shed a couple of tears! Brilliant and Beautiful. Thanks

Agreed, the best episode I've ever seen. But I'm a car nerd and love the numbers and history side of the cars.

The story of the lady who was given the car on her sixteenth birthday and wants it restored resonates with me. I have restored cars for customers that are not worth a carrot but hold lots of sentimental value for the family, and to be honest I have enjoyed restoring them more than an E Type... If Mopar put out an EXACT replica of the 70 Challenger with a new interior and drivetrain it would sell like crazy.

It wouldn't, it would get a zero star crash rating if the body was the same. Impossible to add airbags and electronics etc to make those old things modern day safe.

The only reason Chrysler brought back the Charger/Challenger in 2008 was because Ford did the modern Mustang based on the original 1st generation Mustang in 2005. Ford started a trend that all other manufacturers had to follow suit to compete. So far, Ford and Chrysler are the only ones that have succeeded in this trend. Everyone has either failed miserably or was 50% successful.
