It's entirely plausible that Muizzu would be able to stay in power..even beyond his term. China might send Chinese troops upon the invitation of Muizzu. Those troops would ensure Muizzu wouldn't be removed from power. China could then hordes of Chinese to Maldives and have Muizzu give them citizenship. Chinese migrants would then become more and populous than locals until they eventually control Maldives. Classic chinese strategy since ancient times.

Whatever happened to the last impeachment? The problem still remains the majority of people are fickle and still want india out...they voted for him on that. So india should not help out. The few that like india can benefit in other ways from india.

Doesn't matter, if it is the end of Muizzu! India shouldn't go back to old ways. India should learn to embrace the new relations between Maldives and India and go forward . After Muizzu thrown out, do you think China will be willing to go back to previous status?
