We need a new version: instead of tonnes, show liters! Instead of "sales", show Sales per capita. Sales says nothing, Sales per capita (per person) says everything! So a follow-up video would be great! Would also be amazing to aggregate Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola :)

1 ton of coke is about 1k liters, just add about 3-4% on top for all the dissolved sugar but its pretty easy to convert if you round down. Considering the traded volume using tons makes sense imo. But a per Capita comparison would be much more insightful indeed.

I think the overall consumption is not just bottles and cans alone. It includes dispensed from tap at restaurants, fast food joints, etc.

I bet they calculated import value (i.e. everything, including what you’re saying). Notice how steep are some differences - it’s because import values to each country are determined by employees. Not saying that because calculating consumption ’in bottles’ is not possible - I never reported how many litres of Coke I consumed. Just a side note - the amount of coke consumed in the mentioned places is only big in the developed countries.

En Argentina viven 47 millones de personas y está 5to en el ranking siendo que los primeros 4tos puestos superan los 200 millones de personas. ¿Por qué tiene tanto consumo de coca cola? Además de que nos encanta esta bebida, uno de los motivos más importantes es que se toma mucho fernet con coca, una bebida alcohólica muy típica del país. Si no fuese por esto estaríamos posicionados apenas un poco más arriba de la mitad del ranking, quizá.

i wasnt specting argentina to be number 5, i live in argentina and i must say coca cola is pretty common as a sweeted gas beberage, you can find it on every corner on sale, apparently is a part of our lives more than other countries because we dont have as much population here, but, i believe the same happens on south american countries like paraguay, uruguay and brazil, on the other side, well.. china yes but its population is to big compared to the amount, so, yea, maybe in eeuu Coca Cola is more common.

No Brasil a Coca Cola enfrenta um fortíssimo concorrente, uma bebida que já tentaram imitar, mas não conseguem: "Guaraná Antarctica". O guaraná é uma fruta exclusiva da Amazônia brasileira e o Guaraná não é produzido em outros países. Essa bebida é o maior concorrente da Coca Cola em um país, a gigante mundial nunca encontrou um concorrente tão forte em parte alguma do mundo, e, a preferência por guaraná só aumenta enquanto as vendas de Coca Cola estão estabilizadas.

The revenue is not directly linked to the amount of 'tons' sold for every country.. Eg. In Asia Coke is about 3/4x cheaper as in Western countries

They might compete with Netherland on shipments . Bet your bottom Euro that Anthwerp sees a lot of outbound shipments from those bottled Coke crates. And as for the Swiss bottler that controls the European market , they have no decent ports. The stuff shipped to countries on the bottom of the list probably comes from Anthwerp or Rotterdam.
