Silas is a captive-born gray wolves who resides at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. As an Ambassador wolf, Silas helps teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

Normally my dog doesn't care about sounds coming from the monitor or my phone even of dogs making noise. I played this because I was curious and her ears immediately perked up. Then she went back to ignoring it.

Many years ago while passing through Wyoming I signed a petition to reintroduce gray wolves into Yellowstone National Park. It worked. Have seen many since including a mom with wolf pups. They are an important “keystone” species that keep the environment healthy and in check.

😄 I love how he starts out real unenthusiastic, just doing it out of perceived obligation; like: "YEAH yeah.....FINE, I'll do the thing for the group..." ........but then he starts to really lean into it like "...but that doesn't mean I don't have strong feelings, though, okay!? I have ALL of the thoughts and feelings, actually, now that you ask. Let me show you!" 😂
