With nine Motocross World Championship titles, an incredible 93 GP victories, and 177 podium finishes to his name, Antonio Cairoli will bring his 18-year career as a professional motocross racer to a close at the end of the 2021 season.
Since 2010, when he joined KTM, Antonio has been the foundation of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s motocross success, image, and development programme. Winning at least one Grand Prix each season over the last 18 years, Antonio handed KTM their first ever premier class MXGP title back in 2010, and in total, the Italian secured four KTM 350 SX-F and one 450 SX-F powered MXGP titles for KTM.
Antonio will continue his quest for a coveted 10th world title during the remaining rounds of the 2021 MXGP series before continuing with the KTM family in an advisory and ambassadorial role, sharing his expertise with the KTM group.

Sei la nostra bandiera, l'esempio da seguire, quello che lavora sodo e che si risolleva dai momenti difficili, quello che non si dà mai per vinto... fino alla fine!!! Not to take anything away from the motocross career accomplishments of Tony Carioli (they stand as a testament to his ability as a rider and a competitor), but I must say that this video also exemplifies the kind of people who work for KTM, and the passion those people have for motorsports.

This is why KTM is a true race company! They don’t throw away an investment, Tony is special, but many teams and Factories could learn from both Tony Cairoli and KTM and it leadership teams and management teams. I’m stoked he won’t be lost to the sport and the brand. Congrats and an amazing career, def sad to see him go as a rider, but exciting to see what he does with KTM and the sport for the future, with people like this, the sport looks like it’s in good hands. 🏆🤘

I agree. KTM not only has respect to their own riders but also to others that are mistreated. Like when Dani Pedrosa was suddenly dropped by Honda and when Danilo Petrucci was not recognized by Ducati. The only reason why KTM will let go of a rider is when a rider doesn’t do their part and for attitude issues especially when you disrespect the mechanics and staff.

As an American Tony was/is my favorite GP rider. 9 titles is so impressive and I don't think anyone will be able to top that number. He's the Rossi of MX. You'll be missed TC.

Yes, finishing and going out on top is best but I still give Chad Reed the high marks also. Tony was incredible, gifted in the sport.

His talent is the same he’s still winning races and competitive it not like Chad Reed who became a lapped and just flat out couldn’t hang. He’s personally just growing up he’s married with kids also motocross is a boys sport plain and simple.

Vai compare Tony, rimettiti in moto e fagli vedere di che pasta è fatto un vero campione! Non ho mai pensato alla possibilità del decimo titolo, ma quando vai così forte mi fai emozionare tanto. Non hai niente da dimostrare a nessuno ma appena ti rimetti a posto fai altre 2/3 gare così, giusto per ricordare a tutti chi é il numero UNO è chiudi strabene. Un saluto da un tuo conterraneo. Grazie Tony, l saw you race at Matterly Basin, Budds Creek, and Maggiora. Always fast and when l met you at Budds Creek you turned out to be a genuinely nice guy as well. One of the all time greats as well as the greatest Italian motocrosser ever.
