Ten years ago. Ten years ago, Inter played out the longest 96 minutes in its history. Ten years ago, Inter progressed to the Champions League Final and celebrated the sweetest defeat ever: Barcelona 1-0 Inter in the semi-final second leg after a 3-1 win at San Siro eight days earlier.
History made, or rather, legend. All the talk was about the “Remuntada” in Barcelona: “we can do it” was the blaugrana’s proclamation. Mourinho’s Inter were strong in the 3-1 first-leg win and they had to be even stronger at the Camp Nou, especially after Pandev’s last minute injury with Chivu being called up at the last minute. It was a tough, gritty match in which the Nerazzurri displayed nerves of steel.
What a night. José Mourinho’s run down the touchline alongside Gabriele Oriali to salute the Nerazzurri fans, the players’ embraces, a mixture of absolute fatigue and elation: a night that will be forever etched in our memory.

Doing the first Treble in Spanish football with load of funds & being native to Spain is a lot easier than winning the Treble in a foreign country & culture for Mourinho with little funds. You need to look beneath the lines to analyze accurately. Mourinho a Portuguese is the only manager pulling the only Treble in Italian football. Where is world class Conte, Rainieri, Ancelotti, Allegri, Spalleti, etc? They are all looking to Jose to learn.

As a Chelsea fan I can claim that he has done some remarkable things for us, first title for 50 long years and some absolutely excellent signings too, he just attracts the highest quality players and they all want to play for him because he will use the best tactics and bring the best out of an individual with perfect timing. I mean why put a top goal scorer on the bench, if it's Mourinho u will see that good talent is never wasted and Mourinho would actually bring that goal scorer on when the team needed a vital goal and that as well as his highly attacking tactics is what makes him the best ever manager of all time for me, and for Chelsea, may Chelsea be successful for the next 100 years and Mourinho is welcome there ANYTIME, LEGEND + THE GREATEST + THE SPECIAL ONE :)

in this video u can clearly see how bias the referee was, some Barca tackles were clearly yellow card ones but he just didn't give it out but was quick to show red card & several yellow cards to the inter players.....but these players fought their heart & soul out to qualify for the finals....if not they would've surely lost it..... some of Barcas champs league success are very questionable, yes full of robbery & If VAR existed at that time, they wouldn't have had the 5champs league trophies they boast of.... Chelsea vs Barca is no exception... I just hate this Barca club for this reason....

Esse JOGO foi o que teve algumas irônias, entre elas dois dos jogadores que haviam trocado suas equipes na mesma temporada, como foi o caso do Ibrahimovic que veio da Inter pro Barcelona e do Samuel Eto'o que tinha vindo do Barcelona pra Inter sendo atual campeão da Champions. E uma das coincidências ENTRE os dois além de serem centroavantes de primeiro grau é que os dois foram prejudicados pelo Pep Guardiola em benéficio do Lionel Messi. Sem mencionar que o Mourinho também já havia trabalhado no Barcelona e tirou do Barcelona há chance de vencer a liga dos campeões por dois anos seguidos, sendo que o último time que havia feito isso foi o Milan de Van Basten do final dos anos 80 e ainda por cima a final tendo sido sediada no Santiago Bérnabeu!

Valdez, played for Barcelona and saw no need to the provocation from mourinho . The only coach in the world that has taken credit for when his team was winning, but blame on the players when not. His winning ways come from being assigned to coach well stoked Teams with the best that Money can Buy; yet he failed to deliver results several times, like on Madrid , Chelsea and Tottenham on domestic and UCL. He needed to Repeat at Chelsea with at least 3 Championships at the premier league and the same with Champions League, He Had the money and the players, but his tactics where not all that brilliant but the talent and sheer will of his players.....

Say wathever you want. Mourinho its the most succefull Manager, of the XX1 century. He won all the major competitions, internal and internationaly, several times, for different teams, in different countries. Few managers were able to do that. Mourinho is in another "league".

Well, Ancelotti and Zidane are there too, but I agree with the general concept. Also because JM wins, with Porto and Inter, have a very different meaning than winning with Real Madrid - even if three times in a row like ZZ is still amazing. If Ancelotti will win this CL however it will be almost impossible not to consider him the most successful manager of all times, with 4 CL won with 2 different teams.

@@bobon123 but iam not talking abaut CL only, but also El, Premiere League ( Chelsea), Cálcio (Inter),Lá Liga (Real Madrid) Liga Nos (Porto), and also Europe Cup,Europe Super Cup, World Clubs Cup, and among many other trophys, while in those diferent leagues. Like i said, Mourinho is in another league.

busquets best simulation ever, barca tried lot of dirty jokes that night to win it, the result was to greatly motivate inter players to make it real. also at the end of the match valdes trying to stop mou to reach the fans and the water sprinklers opened to prevent inter players to exult with them too were prob the best expression the barca club fair play

It's interesting to me how people are quick to say "biased refs" without understanding why that was the case. There was no excuse vs Chelsea, of course, bu vs inter and Madrid? Mourinho's teams were aggressive and violent. It made it easy for Barca players to sell yellow and red cards. I know I would have taken advantage of that for sure.
