...it causes loud ringing and horn noises...
...and/or him to blow smoke from his mouth.

I have a friend who has a handmade drinking mug that makes glug-glug sounds like that when you drink from it. It wasn't intentionally made to do that, it just does, and it makes me laugh. Naturally I call it the glug-glug mug.

I loved the Stooges after I discovered them while a child in the 50's. Couldn't get enough of their episodes...! Sadly, they kept on and their last performances on the Ed Sullivan Show fell flat as by then, they couldn't pull of their stunts due to advanced age.

You missed pardon my scotch where a guy’s hat was blown off his head following a swig of the stooge’s liquor. The stooges also made faces and noises when they drank it too.

I never knew that the gag with the bartender in Back To The Future Part III was a 3 Stooges reference. It has to be, the way the spilled drink causes steam to rise is too similar to be a coincidence.

Most likely someone sitting on the floor below Curly spun the stool around. I think it's also possible some frames were pulled in editing to make the spinning appear faster.

Once they got to the 50s the over the top sound effects and effects in general really started to ruin the show. Cuckoo on the Choo Choo is the worst episode I’ve ever seen. Watched it once and swore to never watch it again. Horrible episode didn’t laugh once.
