Try aiming for high opposite corner. For ex: if you come down the left side as a right, when you cut into the slot (moving right) aim high right. Same thing on the left side, works best when your player can cut into the slot on his forehand. Try switching your wingers so right handed players are left wing and vice versa. Another great method is a “pass off pads”. Basically aim for the opposite leg pad for an easy rebound for a teammate. Lastly, try passing the puck around more instead of shooting first. Shoot with your d-men to try to get tip ins or screens. If you feel like you’re constantly getting jumped on by the other team, turn aggressiveness down in your gameplay sliders, it’s under checking. For breakaways, you can do a stride deke and immediately shoot, or just go backhand/forehand (back and forth) to get the goalie out of position. My usual is a backhand, forehand, then backhand shot, but it depends on the goalies positioning. Feel free to message me if you have questions, I played all growing up and even juniors as a goalie

yeah, I've never really played sports games because I always thought it was kinda dumb but recently, I have found a love for hockey and I got this game for free thanks to Xbox and man it's a little difficult. I mean, I only have maybe like 3 hours at most in it, so I've only scratched the surface but I wish I had a proper tutorial to tell me how the dam game functions but guess I'll have to figure out through trial and error which sucks because my first franchise game I got like 5-6 penalties cause idk how to freaking play.

​@@noobkiller11790 I honestly feel like nhls the easiest out of all the sports games. Everything makes sense to press. Like in fifa O is to shoot and you have to time it weirdly. In nhl you just shoot the trigger at the net. Makes more sense in my opinion

don't use the right stick when you are doing a stride deke. All you need to do is flick the left stick left or right while holding l1/lb

@@milanek1527 online and you have to pass to a player that can snap those shots, mackinnon, hughes, mcdavo , Matthew’s, Bedard, Etc. You will score almost every free lane off a feed if you time it right.
