[Rather Simple] How to fold the Great 8 Real Origami Fidget Spinner from a square of origami paper no cutting or gluing. This Great Eight fidget spinner is NOT an oscillating fidget spinner. This one is spun by hitting it with your other hand like a normal fidget spinner. This model also flies pretty well as a flicker.
I recommend using a 6-inch (15 cm) square of origami paper.
This model was inspired by a request from my student Lucas during his Zoom tutoring session with me. During the session we tried to design a real (non-oscillating) fidget spinner together, but it didn't work too well. After the session I took on the challenge again and went in a totally different direction.

god the nostalgia is hitting me so hard right now. i remember making flashers in school so much that i got told to stop because it distracted kids. i never forgot how to make the magic ball or the spring thing to this day and still make them when im bored. gosh i need to go make more flashers i remember crying as a kid trying to make the big bang one. the dedication you have is so crazy i love that youre still making new origami models and never stopped uploading. thank you for making little kid me have the time of her life watching your videos and making your origami creations

Jeremy I swear to god, I wanted to be you when I was like 12 or something. You were the single coolest human to me back then. I am 22 now and let me tell you are still the wholesome hero I aspire to be. Your returning boomerang was the first thing that introduced me to you......and even today when I see the notification of your video dropping, I take a break from work and studies and fold these new things along with you. It is because of you and (Jo Nakashima maybe) that I am the cool origami guy to my nephews and little cousins. Keep folding, keep inspiring....🙌

@@drikuslouw7582 I think mine was a fox. My mom bought me this origami animals book that had super easy origami as most of it and then a few somewhat challenging ones in the back of the book. Cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, etc. good times. I remember folding paper for hours that day lol

Honestly, I haven't tried, but I think it should work, and maybe even better because printer paper is heavier, more massive, so it might spin longer.

The rabbit ears are pretty small as is, so you might have trouble going smaller.

Once I got the concept it took me about 10 tries before I was satisfied with the design. It took me about 5 takes filming before I was happy with it. Each take I figured out new little tips and tricks to make folding it clearer and better.

It means you need to adjust the points so that they line up (one exactly under the other, and try to make sure that they are in the middle (center of balance).
