Hey, cut Chad Henne some slack. He's a solid backup, and he made some clutch plays in the 2020 AFC Divisional game, running for 10+ yards on a scramble and making sure to convert a game-sealing first down when Mahomes got injured. Hennething is possible.

I think QBs who played for Detroit or the Browns within the last 20 years should have an asterisk next to their "draft bust" title. I would come up with something witty, but 90% of people already know why.
@randumo242 жыл бұрын
Nah, it's that kind of stupid thinking that had people defending Baker's mediocre play. Also, it's hard to really say that Couch is a draft bust. He was taken 1st overall to an expansion team; so obviously the team around him was awful. Really, the plan with expansion franchise's GMs seems to always have been draft a QB with that first pick. To me, it should be build up an o-line first & foremost. Come back and take that QB when you end up with that likely first overall pick the next season, and are in an actual position for that QB to have a chance at success.
@choosecarefully408 Жыл бұрын
@@randumo24 People make opinions based on _impressions_ more often than facts. I bet that if someone had the time & patience, we could put up a great montage of his receivers allowing balls to go right through their hands, sometimes for INTs. He _fires in_ short & medium passes to inept receivers who want them to be carried on trays to them I guess. It's very consistent with Baker. Don't know about previous years though.

@@anthonybower712 they were great throws, you're just used to watch Barry's retirement and out of retirement Brady type throws. When you have little time to throw and your receivers are always covered, you have to learn how to consistently make the throws Carr made in that highlight. Smoke it to a spot where the receiver can get it. Carr never got consistent at it though. Alot of starting qbs today can't do that which is why anytime there is a game where receivers are covered, qbs today are trash.
