this guy was my first platoon sgt when i got to 3/8, after i introduced myself, he took me outside to smoke a cigarette, asked me if i drank coffe, asked me if i drank redbull, asked me about my knowledge of the marine corps, and then told me my job was going to be point man in iraq. i think i left that conversation with a boner.

Ryan was always a great kid but, In the time he's been in, I've grown to respect and admire the Man he's become in ways I'd never known I would. In many respects, I now look up to him. If the Army and the Navy Ever look on Heaven's scenes; They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines. There's a reason they're legadary - a very good reason. Best wishes.

I know this Marine! He was a SSgt. at SOI East in spring 2006 timeframe while I was going through. He never wore a skivvy shirt and always carried a canteen cup! Was also with 3/8 through initial Battle at Ramadi. Green may have been his name? Can't remember...
