The original pool was right there, where the front Bar area is .. Years later, sitting at the bar, you could still feel the humidity (smell chlorine) sitting there .. Those orig "Standard Rooms" stayed essentially unchanged for so many yrs .. Couldn't beat it, for $ 20-28, esp if you were staying on vaca / holiday, for a cpl - few weeks .. Loved the room service (sweet & sour chicken next day hangovers) .. I'd take a day off (cool dark room) lye in bed (with company or not) and watch latest pirated DVD's (VCD's hoping they didn't freeze) ..

BEST spot in AC. The first hotel in Balibago and NOBODY did more for the locals and the expats during the Plandemic, absolutely no one so lets make sure to take care of those who took care of us! Location, location, location and so much more.

Stayed there last year, clean rooms, friendly staff. Guests can also access the Pool and Fitness room at Wild Orchid. Great pool there too. Coming back this year. It's my go-to in Angeles City.

Hi Chubs, mate of mine from Sydney was one of the first managers of the hotel, in the 90s then he went to Pattaya to help start another branch but unfortunately was killed by a thief while trying to protect the safety deposit boxes. He also managed Ziggys bar back in the day, the oldies will remember that place. Good video,I like old school.

We stayed there in the early 90s, that place is dated, but with other hotels in the area with their ridiculous prices, its still an option for people

I stayed there many years ago when they had their own gogo bar behind the bar/restraunt area. Was great to walk out the room and right to the gogo bar for pre-party drinks.

I was Probably there when you made that video, i was there the first 3 weeks in May.. If someone Pays cash for their room. the hotel gives a discount, I believe its 10%, Booking thru Agoda/Priceline is usually the cheapest online. The food there is Good and the Hotel staff is Great, But dont tell everyone, I need a good room when im Back. For all The Partiers, Get the back building, its alot more Private when coming back to Hotel late at night with a "Friend"..

So would I slay there? Yes the location on time ! The rooms 🎉the pool large enough for laps 🎉

AGODA (way better deal) "Standard Plus" $ 28 (you never roll in & pay at the desk Anywhere unless you have to) .. I started staying there, in the mid 90's .. Always my go to for $ 20-25 rooms w/ everything you needed; good room service, great location, quiet (relaxing if not boring) & it So Well Managed (Ron & Ron ?) .. Haven't been back to PI since 2011 .. Wasn't liking Angeles (2011) Was staying at the old Phoenix (my back up when Orchid was Booked) .. Old, British Tourist murdered (robbed shot dead), a Stabbing Death (American Kid), shit load of muggings .. And the Club Owner Syndicates were "at war" .. All the new Over the top (idiotic) "Tourist Traps & prices" Catering to Asians (Koreans) ..Then, all the "Trafficking'" Bar Raids ..

Is (Aussie) Ron still one of the managers "owners" (shorter guy) ? .. I'm guessing retired, but ..

9 months and counting, gonna try one of their pool view rooms. Gotta say the comment about the room safes being robbed, certainly gives me pause though.

I agree great location and nice staff . Unfortunately the same cant be said for the old bloke that runs the place. Grumpy old man that likes to shout at kids swimming and enjoying themselves. I had 3 x nights booked there, left after my 1st night. I guess great location if you are single due to location. But for me NEVER again..... one of my worst experiences ever at a hotel (maybe should change its name to Orchid Gentlemans Club)

Sorry to say its has security problem all happy faces and nice show they put on for you. You will notice the elderly owner wasn't around. Very bad reputation in the past few months of cash being stolen from the safes. Guys be aware watch your cash and the like here!

Location is good but the rooms need renovation, the beds are horrible, very old matrases, the better rooms are overpriced😊
