Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Күн бұрынThomas Chisholm wrote the lyrics to this beloved hymn, and William Runyan composed the tune in 1923. The Scriptural basis for the song was Lamentation 3:22-23, "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Thy faithfulness."
Verse 2:
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Thank you so very much for your kind and encouraging comment!! The guitar is a Ferrington Classical guitar-I bought it used about 20 years ago… I don’t think it is made anymore. The strings are either hard tension D’Addario Pro Arte EJ 48, or hard tension Savarez Alliance Corum 500AJ. I use them both, switching from time to time. I also have another question: I am a beginner who started playing guitar a month ago, all by myself so I don't have so many informations, i searched on the internet but its better to ask an experienced guitarist, what strings should I use now? soft, medium or hard tension? Can u tell me the difference between them if you have time? Sorry for such a long comment, but I like so much the guitar that I become excited. I want to learn your style with jazz chords and fingerstyle so I can play in my church. You sir are an inspiration for many, please continue with your work! Thank you for your time!

@@Benjamin_2353 Those are very good questions. I think medium tension strings might be a good choice for you. They will be a bit easier to press down, and they sound pretty good. The reason I like hard tension is that I am less likely to bend the strings a bit out of tune when I’m playing-especially on chords where I have to really stretch my fingers more than normal. Obviously, there are different opinions about string tension preference, but early on in playing the guitar, I lean toward medium tension. And, just experimenting the next time you replace your strings will let you know what works best for you. Hope this helps!
